  • This sounds very much like problems CO had in the past with certain passives and big boss fights. There is a limit to the number of effects (buffs, debuffs, DoT, etc) allowed on any entity. So it sounds like some of the effects placed on you aren't getting removed properly. If you want to get this fixed you'll probably…
  • Because it's his job? And because he more or less promised: Now if course you can debate what "as needed" means. Either this means it's not needed now... which means he doesn't care at all about what CO/STO players say. But that would not be something that suddenly happened, so even that would be very dishonest. Or it…

  • Well xmpp is down now, and not a word from the community manager. Over the years I've spend a huge amount of money on CO (2 LTS and well over 2000 euro on zen), but seeing how untrustworthy cryptic is these days from now on I don't think I'll ever spend a single cent on any of their games.
  • I agree it would be nice to had better color control. As for the reason why it unfortunately will never happen: CO's power coloring is coded to shift hue, there is nothing in place to control saturation and luminosity. To make saturation and luminosity controls work they'd have to completely overhaul their power coloring…
  • Then you are super bad at putting your thoughts into words. After multiple messages saying you don't care and making fun of people who do, a sudden change of heart could have used a better worded post. Contrary to what the title to this thread says, cryptic is not shutting down xmpp. Xmpp is just a chat protocol, cryptic…
  • Do you often make a point of announcing you don't care and it doesn't affect you, when other people are sad after receiving bad news?
  • I am very disappointed with this plan, and I think it's the negative impact it will have on CO is quite underestimated.
  • You need very specific body proportions to avoid clipping on Retro Sapphire Hair. So it would be nice if the lower part hair would be moved back a little bit. I think slightly adjusting it wouldn't interfere with the style but would help a bit to avoid clipping.
  • If CO is installed in Program Files and you're not running it as admin, have a look at %LocalAppData%\VirtualStore
  • Try to set your weapon colors to something different than the base costume colors.
  • It could theoretically also mean some combination of.... - he didn't see any changes - the changes he did see were things only one player wanted while everyone else disagreed - he thought of all changes in advance, but never actually posted them for the devs to see There we go, that is properly negative again.
  • A few of the alert enemies have an attack with a vfx that looks like 3 big red scratch marks and that removes all your knock/hold resist stacks. I remember Ao'Qephoth's minions using it, but I could be mistaken. I have no idea about the attack name and don't really feel up on checking it. Another thing I always thought was…
  • How are these latest changes to telekinesis making it worse?
  • Try to set your weapon to different colors than your base costume colors. Not sure if that will work for these specific powers, but I had to do that for minigun to get it to color properly.
  • Even without the health scaling Imbue is very competitive with other AOs, so I don't really see a reason for it. When (or if) Imbue gets nerfed is anyone's guess, but the devs have started nerfing some individual overperforming powers lately so it wouldn't surprise me if Imbue lost its health scaling before a full…
  • When I tested these two AOs they were very similar if you always use Ego Surge at 5 Ego Leech stacks, and ignore health scaling on Imbue. But I generally don't want to pay attention to leech stacks just to time an AO, so I don't see a reason to use Ego Surge.
  • That is a bit of a naive hope. It seems obvious to me people would be running into these problems now and then. And of those at least some portion will post about it in the forums, dragging up this whole thing again and again. So with that, PW has worked itself into a corner with a semi-continuous stream of negativity from…
  • The golems only react to heal threat, and healers do so much more healing than a regular tank that you'd need almost -100% heal threat to avoid grabbing agro. I doubt they'd add anything like that. The Vikorin fight is a bit to punishing on healers, but I think that needs to be changed in the fight not by adding some new…
  • This is a bit odd though. They said people would be able to stay subbed. From thread https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/championsonline#/discussion/comment/12807403 If they can't even update information for expired credit cards, they can hardly claim you are "totally able" to stay subscribed.
  • Credit cards have an expiration date. So what would happen if a card runs out? The same I assume?
  • Compassion seems to stack much better for me now.
  • Looks good. I didn't quite get from the video why it's important to keep Grond on the middle platform though.
  • Yes, I've had lots of times where compassion doesn't stack when I just spam iniquity on a tank. If I wait for their health to drop more so iniquity doesn't overheal it generally works.
  • Compassion has always had problems with spike heals where you overheal even slightly. While I can understand the idea of not building compassion when healing players at full health, it should work on players with missing health but your overhealing them a bit. This wasn't a huge problem since sentinel aura helped build up…
  • A TA video might not be the best place for this, since it's more about dps optimization. But still could be interesting for some players. You can do perfect block timing if your camera is close enough to medusa (or any recent boss really) to see the charge bar above the boss' head. If you look here you'll see the charge…
  • There are other balance mechanics you can use, like energy cost. As for gameplay issues. - Haymaker has a knockback, having a longer charge time is also an advantage since you are more likely to oneshot your target freeing you up from having to chase them. - Interaction with CC is better with a higher charge time. - A…
  • Having 4 or 6 green orb spawns at stage 3 can make a big difference. I've seen many runs where things stalled at stage 3 until there were a few lucky spawns that were placed easy enough to get through them.
  • I see, that is a bit of an unusual playstyle and I can see how that would cause a problem. For using powers with a selfroot you're probably best of using hotkeys.
  • That is a balance mechanic. Just like some powers have higher range, others a different energy cost, etc. So again, why is it a problem?
  • Not for the whole team, but for that individual player the difference is huge. A set/fight shouldn't be balanced around other sets picking up the slack. So again, that is not a good answer. How is it an issue when you can move instantly after you stop charging or maintaining your powers?
  • I think most people only have 1 high damage attack, the other attacks are for synergies, utility, AoE, debuffs, etc. Sets are very much designed for such a setup. The stage of the fight with geysers is also the stage where dps is most important, it's not a good answer using a lower dps attack at that point (on an already…
  • Selfroot during charge/maintain isn't a problem for those geysers, you can just stop attacking and move away. The problem is charge (or click) powers with selfroot during activation, and there are very few powers that have that. Annihilate is a prominent exception.
  • Circles should just be a defensive/utility thing, not dps(energy)/threat.
  • A power with a longer charge time shouldn't do higher dps, it should do higher damage per hit if you fully charge it. And Haymaker dps is not bad now that there demolish refreshes, but you'd need to go out-of-set for those. For instance HW dps is far lower. (But 75k per haymaker (or is that dps?) is not overly realistic on…
  • Adding circle requirements to more builds isn't really a positive thing.
  • Most passives scale with any superstat. So just go with invulnerability?
  • If you don't like the chat thing, you can also set up ACT and use the miniparser window. That would be something like this:
  • The dps on new darkness is very very nice. It's nicely balanced compared to other ranged sets, as long as you ignore existence of NW and other charge speed buffs. But since we do have lots of AoAC on organized cosmic fights it will outperform any maintain based ranged sets quite a bit (PA is technically not maintains).…
  • By default there is a "combat" tab in your chat box, you might have removed that though. But even without that tab you can toggle on combat text in any chat tab. And you can place your chat box anywhere on your screen.
  • Bug: Spirit Reverb says it gives 31 energy in my tooltip, but I am seeing 15 energy ticks.
  • That is a big issue with this new ultimate. It's a very OP ultimate (30% base damage bonus is insane), that is sort of balanced by removing all form stacks and setting AD/AO on full cooldowns. But if you can then get those all back up in 10 seconds that half of that disadvantage is hardly doing anything. I'd prefer is the…
  • I'd prefer mechanics to be balanced against other mechanics as much as possible. And only balance by damage when there is no other option. I don't like the idea of making powers (sets) do higher damage just because they have a self root. But while I don't think self rooting powers should have significantly higher damage, I…
  • The devs said HW would get a buff from the Fire review, since CF would then be doing damage close to bleeds. That didn't work out, and balancing HW with that in mind was not a smart thing to do in the first place. As for PA, I assume the devs think limiting dps by increasing energy cost is a good idea. But that would be a…
  • Still a bit odd that of the already reviewed sets, the lowest dps melee set has a self root (even during activation), and the highest dps ranged set does not have a self root.
  • I'd prefer a health bonus of about 3000.
  • Those people? I have no idea who that is. Also scientific dogma can refer to things that have been proven beyond any reasonable doubt, but that is a very different meaning than dogma in religion. The scientific method is all about disproving things (which is why it's full of things like "we are x.x% certain about this and…
  • Part if that is the silly mechanic where once you have 5 Leech stacks, EBA or Lance build those back all up on its own after rupturing. That makes EBA or Lance a power to tack on just for a nice dps boost even without EBP. I think it would be much better if Ego Infusion doubled Leech stacks gained from other powers, in…
  • I think the biggest problem in CO is stagnant character progression. Every time they added some character progression there was a big spike in activity.
  • For the stars at leas they should have made a new item for the stars that are capped at 20. Messing with drops people have farmed up over the years is not nice at all. And if they really wanted to remove larger stacks from the game, a 5G compensation for a full stack is not going to be enough to make me feel good about the…
  • Note that Large Address Aware by default doesn't do anything for 32bit Windows. So if you have an ancient computer just run 32bit Windows 7 and nothing will change. And for a 64bit Windows you probably want 4GB RAM anyway. So all in all it shouldn't cause problems for any normal configuration.
