  • If it's possible you can change everything to yellow with /powerhue 0 60 Many powers have hue shifted a bit, so you might need to adjust the value (60) a bit.
  • For 57L per star, so a full stack of 999 stars will get you about 5.7G. Or 11.4N per full stack for the new stacks cap. That is not useful at all, the only things that does is give you a way to get rid of them besides discarding.
  • The memory thing is making the executable large address aware. LAA is "app can handle >2GB address space" "Large amounts of RAM" just means CO can now use up to 4GB RAM+VRAM in stead of being limited to 2GB. Of course 4GB isn't really that huge these days, so it's more "improved stability for any modern configurations"…
  • I think for dps players blocking, evasion, damage checks and agro management could be enough to keep things interesting. Of course most cosmic fights don't have that in sufficient amounts at the moment, so some adjustments would be welcome. BUt random things like Qwy's fireballs, or a spawn that attacks a random dps player…
  • If people troll the Eidolon fight see if you can catch it on video. There are multiple groups/channels for endgame content, and at least a few groups don't accept people that troll cosmic fights. Eido HQ is just a Eido farming channel, it's not meant as a social thing though as Panta pointed out in the end everything is…
  • I am very much against these changes to stars. I don't see anything positive in them, and the explanation given for them doesn't make any sense at all. The changes do exactly the opposite of what they are meant to do.
  • Passive OTs are just a normal response to tanking mechanics on cosmics. If the devs want more active (off/soak)tanking the mechanics just need to enforce that more.
  • Suggestion: add two random level 40 mobs in rencen.
  • You can spend the time walking to the vendor to sell stars better on killing 2 random level 40 mobs, that will give you far more. Either way, this isn't going to do anything positive at all. At best it's a waste of everyone's time (devs to actually make the change, everyone else's to post about it), and worst a functional…
  • How are you encouraging using star drops then? I use them when ever I am missing a star and still have well over 2000 of them saved. So now a stack of stars saved from years of cosmics fights are worth 5g, yay? That is not a good encouragement to use anything at all, in any way or form. Exactly the fact you can have a…
  • Severity is a stat doesn't have any meaningful DR, but I am assume this is about severity rating. And I do agree the DR on that is a bit strong. Having a few points of severity rating makes a big difference, but you never want more than those few points. There are however far bigger issues in CO than the DR on severity…
  • Yes. It's a CO issue not a computer issues. You can try improve it a bit with some settings, and by always restarting CO when changing characters, and restarting CO after every few big fights. But it will not be perfect until cryptic improves CO's memory management. Also CO itself will not use DX12. It doesn't matter what…
  • DX11 is a bit more stable than DX9, in particular on big events. But when you run all settings on max, you're just going to run out of memory (CO can only use 2GB RAM+VRAM) at some point and CO will crash.
  • Should have known this would turn to dishonest and silly word games in 3 posts.
  • Tanks often take tk block because most dangerous attacks against them do physical damage. DPS often take sorcery block because most dangerous attacks against them do non-physical damage.

  • Maybe one day you will learn to discuss these things without trying to make it into something personal. That more generic than "but it's ranged" though. Of course this is all about giving some melee sets access to some decent ish AoE. But just looking at those powers as is, no matter what they are tagged with they will not…
  • What does a melee or ranged tag have to do with balance? You balance melee against ranged by giving higher ranged power a higher energy cost, lower movement, bit lower damage, etc, etc. A tag isn't a per power balancing mechanic, that is a restriction to enforce certain power combinations.
  • While this might make sense to Jojo fans, I don't think this is a generic enough superpower to work in CO.
  • Effective health = health * (resistance + 1)
  • Well if you have like resistance debuffs prefixed with a 1, important status effects that are used to proc stuff off with certain sets (chill, clinging flames, ions, bleeds, etc) prefixed with a 2, less important stuff prefixed with a 3, stuff you don't need to watch at all prefixed with a 4. Then at least stuff you want…
  • I've seen SC refresh fail to often to ignore it like that. And I still don't understand why status effect names can't be prefixed to order them a bit. :/
  • Lightning dps works something like this. - use BL - use LA until Ions proc - apply Superconductor with CL - use BL after every two LA to refresh debuff - try to use that against cosmics... notice SC icon being pushed of screen - change UI layout and scaling to try fit more status icons on screen - back to cosmics..... SC…
  • Thumbnail for me is from before the fights even starts. But embedded youtube thumbnails can be weird at times.
  • Lightning dps without Chain Lightning? :o
  • How you go about things are changed and decided in the set reviews. This thread is specifically about balance changes outside of set interaction and playstyles reviews.
  • Out of combat you can change builds pretty fast. And devices don't go on cooldown when swapped in and out like that.
  • Well that doesn't give us a lot to go on. But either way, a basic rambo ish dps build could be something like this. The first few levels you might want to switch up the powers, but you can use it from level 8 onwards. Let us know what you think about the build and how it plays. If you run into any issues there are always…
  • Well ok. But there is more to a build than just copying some theme from a movie. Should it be a build that you can level easily, or are you going to retcon a level 40 character. If you already have a character does it also have gear, and mods, and if so which ones? Should the build be fully focused on theme and only use…
  • I am curious. Is this asking for someone else to make a build for you (number 17 in less than 2 weeks)? Are you just informing people you are inspired? Do you want help with that build you got inspiration for, and if so what build is that?
  • Well there are 2 things. One is windows limiting any single 32bit application to 2GB RAM, unless the executable has a LAA flag at which point it allows 4GB RAM. This flag is what I was asking about. It can be set by anyone in like 5 seconds, but since it changes the checksum of the exe file you can't actually play CO with…
  • Unless you have a way to bypass the launcher, the launcher will just detect the wrong checksum (version) and replace it with the correct non-LAA executable.
  • Probably yes. And CO does version checks with a checksum of its executable. That checksum would change if the LAA flag was set, so the server would say "nope, wrong version". I also learned about this flag from messing with Oblivion. When using higher resolution textures, they were showing as solid black textures because…
  • Well I am not any expert in programming so I don't really understand the need for 64bit pointers for LAA. A 32bit address space can already hold 4GB but any single application is limited to 2GB. From what I understand the LAA thing just lets the application use that full 32bit address space in stead of splitting it in half…
  • If Invulnerability is enough for a MT depends on your team and what you are fighting. When just looking at Invulnerability and Defiance in a vacuum, Defiance can be significantly stronger against spike attacks. Invulnerability caps out at about 85% resistance while Defiance can reach about 126%. That can easily make the…
  • I don't think it's a good idea to change the single most popular thing in CO with the intent of making it less popular. If anything cryptic should take note of what their player base responds to and add more similar stuff. The only cosmics that could really do with a difficulty rework is Kiga. For the dps players he's just…
  • At least for me it's just about trying to improve, so I like being able to see scores. And in my opinion, the people that don't care about that can just ignore the whole thing.
  • A few recolours wont change anything to the overall system.
  • Problem with any vehicle update is that the whole vehicle system needs more works than it's worth (for Cryptic). So I think vehicles are currently considered a huge headache system that the devs are happy to ignore.
  • I would like role icons in the score list, but aura icons would not be interesting at all for me. My personal reason for liking role icons is that I prefer to play my ranged dps, and I like to compare my performance to other players. But melee dps can do so much higher sustained single target dps these days that it's…
  • I am all for strong active support. But similar to disliking the current auras I would also be against dps do half their job just by existing. As for balancing content. The only encounter that would need adjustments for sure is shadow fall (the Eidolon of destruction fight). And optionally Teleiosaurus, depending on how…
  • The balance reason for this is that "aura strength" x 20 is just way to much for any single person to bring to a fight. And it doesn't even really matter what aura that is. AoPM is a good generic aura that works for everything, but AoRP brings way more survivability, AoED a lot more damage, and AoAC even more damage for…
  • Redirect Force could do with some changes of Force ever gets a review. It would be a lot nicer as a charge power with a longer duration for the shielding effect.
  • If you set CO to windowed fullscreen it will just take the normal windows refreshrate and you can't change it in CO even if you want. So if CO's fullscreen settings don't work properly just go with windowed fullscreen.
  • Point still stands about using an average team but I should have added a "healer not focused on HoT or bubbles". And I know the fight is very doable, but it has to strict "if you use that or that or that" requirements.
  • Wonder how this one is going to work out https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2018/11/28/us-consumer-watchdog-investigate-video-game-loot-boxes
  • First of all, nicely done. I do however have a few reservations. I hope you're not under the impression that was an average team. But if the intent of the video was "look Andrith can be overpowered with minmax endgame builds", then it does show that well. For a more average team you'd want to lower dps by at least 50%, and…
  • Last time I tried, the debuff from Eido's greens could be removed by cleansing. But that was well over a year ago, so no promises. But the best way to handle that would just be to have all dps get cleansing, so it's not a "support playstyle" thing. I would like cleansing to be reworked so it works way better on support…
  • It usually depends on your build but for a DUC it depends on your target. For example if you have a target with say 500% resistance, a DUC would lower that to 485%. Overall damage would than increase (1/6)/(1/5.85)-1=2.5%. While for a target with 15% resistance a DUC increase damage by almost 15%. And of course if you have…
  • While that is a valid concern. closing your eyes and hoping it will go away is not the best way to handle these things. DUC's already exist and most top-end dps characters already have one slotted. Leaving them annoying/impossible to farm (or insanely expensive) and out of reach for many new players is just about the worst…
