Preview:

  • King Sekhen's Lockbox (and its contents) is now available on the Debugger.

  • A set of 5 Eye Auras are now available on the Debugger.

    While not exactly bugs, I'm going to color them yellow to call them 'issues':

    1) For the Arcane Tattoos, the glow channel is on the 4th color (except with the Skin option, where it's on the 3rd). This color slot has been buggy for years where it does not update immediately when you highlight a color. Can it be moved to the 3rd color like where the Skin is?

    2) The Arcane Tattoos completely and totally ignore the Muscle Slider, and give your character an uber-muscled look all the time. Like when it happened with the Gravitar costume pieces it looks...bad.


    3) BUG: The Pharaoh Chestpiece (Chest Layer) has no Material options. Everything else in the set does.

    The King Sekhen stuff is under Pharaoh BTW. And the footwear is a Foot Accessory item, which means that you can use whatever Feet item you want with it (generally). Nice!

    You had me at eye auras.

    Guessing this means we won't be seeing a steel shadow event? Shame, I think that's the first lock box I can think of that came without something odd to do along with it.

    Oof, ok. So giving us useable nemesis heirloom eye auras is cool, don't get me wrong. The emanation point on the chaos aura is still in the middle of your head, which makes em... Not so good in practice.

    I'd buy this for the electric and energy eyes alone, though. The others... eh.


    Also, is it a thing that we gotta get cool looking vehicles with gnarly paint schemes?

    BUG

    Using the eye glow auras

    All the eye glow auras appear inside the head model instead of over the eyes on any female head model, being embedded about an inch behind the actual eyes and looking very tackey. This has the effect of actually dulling the aura as some of it is lost in the actual head model, and just looking silly instead of emanating from the eyes.

    This aura needs to be brought forward to being in front of the eyes, specifically when concerning beast heads as well.

    Could the lightning eyes be toned down please, I've be waiting for lightning eyes since the beautifully subtle lightning aura was added... But I think the effect is much to strong on this one. :frown:

    I do like the ice eyes, they double as much better fire eyes than the fire eyes.

    is there anything that can be done to prevent eye effects and auras being seen through back of head. It seems to be a long standing issue wherever a power or aura applies an effect to the eyes.

    This is more of a suggestion than a bug, but it seems like the Arcane Tattoos would look better if they weren't indented into the skin. As they are now, they look more like some pretty severe scarring.

    also the electric eyes aura seems too strong imo

    also i love the design on the new chariot but the color is horrible could you color it something other than primary yellow. a bronze/copper look would be better
    also the texture map on the arcane tattoos would be better if it was optional , with or without indent

    I'm a little surprised that a single unlock will give you either 10 or 12 pieces, but that's up to CN.

    The Chariot performs fine, but the color palette on it feels off. The gold looks more like yellow, and I'm not sure what the blue is supposed to be - Lapis Lazuli? If it's that, it's both way too light of a shade and doesn't look remotely like a jewel, especially one often found with pyrite. The red glowing globe under the chariot doesn't fit the theme either.

    As of now, I'd suggest you'd be better off taking out the bubble and the blue and just replacing it with the gold.

    And finally, it's been a very long time since a new become device that had any use was dropped in a box; a Pharaoh is perfect for locust swarm, a couple curse-like debuffs that might find people actually using it, and of course, reskinning some pets as mummies.

    This. This is not good. I actually passed on the evil heirlooms because of this right here. I think it even bugs me more than the bit of bleed-through you get while looking at them from behind.

    I have to agree on the tattoos, it looks like a thick pair of 2 layer tights. If that's a tattoo, it means someone has stripped all 3 layers of skin before colouring

    on the other hand It makes a great decorative tights pattern.
    electric eyes,go to the hairline and down to the mouth. It's an electric half mask. also eyes in the back of head

    chaos eyesmakes head partially transparent, giving eyes in the back of the head. Not as bad as shadow form or heirloom gear.

    I really like the new costumes, particularly the new headdress and glowy tattoos (which my Atlantean will be picking up ASAP.)

    Couple of thing though:

    The new cape is once again only usable with its specific mantle, and its mantle in turn is not usable with anything else. This, and the archery set, and even both of Foxbat's sets are cases of new cape costumes that cannot be used with existing sets. It'd be really Really nice to be able to wear the archery cape with the fantasy back piece, or have the Foxbat cowl with a standard cape design. Barring some technical issues I'm not seeing, this would seem like a really good idea.

    Not exactly a BUGbut still an issue close to my heart.

    I do really like the looks of this character. Are we getting a new technomancer villain/hero?

    We could use some more alerts/content.

    As far as the auras go...Kind of meh honestly. These really should have been part of their respective aura packs at release. Seems like sort of a cash grab at this point. I do echo the concerns of other players about seeing the aura through the back of the head. Sort of annoying.

    Also, the chaos aura seems a bit too dark to me. Makes it hard to see the face.

    Edit: Oh, a thought...could we get a sun disk aura? Where a glowy orb follows you around? Maybe a scarab swarm aura? Those would be fun as add ins for the lockbox.

    The color for that vehicle does not do it justice at all. It really needs to be a real gold. I feel that you should be incorporating black as well as sapphire blues. The red on the bottom needs to go.

    Also, I'm not sure if this is a bug or intended or just something I've never noticed...but is there a reason why your character flexes their arm so much it looks like they are trying to break their arms? (mainly is most visible on REALLY skinny armed toons, so is probably not an issue)

    I think it would be nice to have a become device added to this...even if it is just an updated Become Mummy Device with pet summons which are reskinned "Grave Consequences advantage" mummy pets on Rebirth :wink:

    Also...with the mention of Captain Chronos...is there a possibility this may be more than a simple addition? If so then yay! If not then awwh :frown:

    New Costume set

    I personally don't dig it...simply because it's not really my thing/ I haven't got a concept to put it to yet so I guess that's my fault more than anything else. I am pretty sure it'll have nice synergy with existing Pharoh like stuff we have. And the tech stuff working well with Cyberpunk, Sci-fi and Holoforce etc.

    New Auras

    Other posters have pretty much covered this so no use repeating things. I will say though...it would be nice to have some...dome shaped force field auras...like F&I, Shadow Destroyer etc have. And some Psi head Auras too...maybe? Please? :3

    What: Only available in Cloth Material, no matching glow color to other pieces.



    Bug: Pharoah Emblem - Female
    What: Emblem support visible, large column from chest seems out of place with sleek design of other parts



    Bug: Cape Options
    What: Please allow use of all cape types with Pharaoh Mantle (should also be available with Foxbat mantles)


    Bug: Pharaoh Tech Arm - Male
    What: Robotic Both Arms - not available under both option, Only seems to be available under left/right arm.


    Bug: Pharaoah Bracers - Male
    What: No Material Options

    Where it happens: Female pharaoh chest piece
    What happens: If you scale chest width down, you get some odd scaling issues on the front of the piece, where parts of it seem to twist or overlap in unexpected ways, plus an odd patch between her breasts that doesn't color properly. (This second part - the improperly colored patch - happens on live with the steel shadow chest piece as well.)

    If those are supposed to be tattoos it looks like someone scraped off a layer of flesh to apply them. Plus the defaulted muscle patterns left may not be desirable.

    I think the better option is to make the tattoos act like any other no texture skin/tights pattern (which will allow our customized muscle patterns to be used) BUT allow the option to choose this "Tattoo" texture since the artist already worked it in. I think this is the best of both worlds.

    with the eyes in the back of the head problem. would it be possible to put an opache flat surface inside the head model. Linked to points on the edges, so it changes size with it.
    so that the light from the front is blocked from the back

    So, I've had a long look at the set and these are the problems I can see. Sorry if I repeat what anyone else has said.......................

    BUG: Pharaoh Tech Arm
    WHAT:Can't have it on both arms at the same time on Male models

    BUG: Pharaoh Crown
    WHAT: Cheek guards clip badly with face on Male models

    BUG:Pharaoh Bracer
    WHAT: Far too wide. Scales badly with both Male and Female models

    BUG: Pharaoh Shoulder Pads
    WHAT: Are not touching the body. More so on Male models

    BUG: Pharaon Greaves
    WHAT: Clip badly with legs on Male models. Less so on Female models.





    Maybe the following issues could also be looked at........

    ISSUE: Pharaoh Nemes
    WHAT: Make it independent of the Pharaoh Crown....perhaps under Hairstyles. It would be a shame to have this great costume piece dependent on another.

    ISSUE: Pharaoh Scarab Emblem
    WHAT: The support for it is out of place and breaks style

    ISSUE:Pharaoh Cape Mantle
    WHAT: Only works with Pharaoh Cape. Needs to be able to use other capes.




    I also agree with what others have already said about the eye auras and the vehicle.

    I have to say, though, that I dig this set and the Scarab Emblem and the Nemes are a vast improvement upon the ones we already had.

    How about making a new matching Scarab Emblem under Belt Accessories?

    Also...it seems that there was a pre-dynastic pharaoh of Upper Egypt called Ka who was also known as Sekhen (meaning 'to embrace').

    About the new costume set, an awful lot of those pieces look exactly the same as ones we already have. I guess that is why the set is being released in a lockbox, right?

    If the eye glow thing is getting looked at, might want to pay Gigaton a visit as well. His eye glow suffers from the same issue ("eyes" on the back of his head) in Alert cut-scenes.

    I thought it was just me, so I wasn't going to say anything until I tried it on other toons and ran into the same issue.

    Unable to see them at a distance or up close, regardless of colours used.

    ^ This also happened to me until I put the Chaos eyes on and THEN the electric eyes in another slot. All of a sudden, I could see them. I thought there had been a problem with my graphics but my boyfriend and I went through them and our graphic settings were the same and he could see them. I don't know what is causing the problem but I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

    BUG: Pharaoh Tech Arm
    WHAT:Can't have it on both arms at the same time on Male models

    Actually, you can have both arms with the Pharaoh Tech skin/part. You need to select 'both arms' section from the Torso Costume tab, then select the correct part from the 'Chest' (last tab, that shows all of the pieces you have/haven't unlocked). Otherwise it'll only let you use the Left Arm variant.

    It is, indeed, a bug. It SHOULD be fixed. But if you want to test it with both arms, you can do this.
    It makes sense, if you don't think about it.

    So I don't often make suggestions like this, because I know costume sets are pretty much done when they reach us on PTS...

    But we could really use an Egyptian bird head in this set. It'd make a nice compliment to the current Anubis head, and would expand a lot of options for using this set.

    Just a thought.

    I know it's pretty much done. But a themed weapon would really top the set off nicely.

    I suspect that on the Pharaoh Chestpiece, Bracers, and Greaves, the fourth color being a glow color may be a bug, due to the incredibly tiny portion of each of these items that it affects. Also, the third color slot on each of these items seems like it would be much more suited to glowing - if any of them are actually intended to do so.

    I like the less techy parts of the Pharoah set, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the arcane tattoos - I am loving the 'etched-in' look.

    Currently leaving the Canadian Power House will drop you off in the Crisis instead of the normal zone proper like it should.

    Fun fact: The female pharaoh head wear part jiggles. Can't reproduce this on the male version. Bug?

    No updates or bugfixes yet? I really do hope they make that texture on the Tattoos an option. The slasher film look really isn't my thing :biggrin:

    It'd be nice if these new costume pieces could be applied to Noseless head type and Beast leg type without changing the model to a standard look.

    In the arm catagory under chest wear, the Pharaoh Tech for females has some serious clipping from the elbows to the shoulders.
