Missing costumes I've created

I don't seem to be able to save or load new costumes I've created. They don't appear in the screenshots folder, and I'm not sure why, unless there is a maximum number of costumes that can be saved.

    Checking a right folder?
    Champions Online>Live>screenshots?
    Thru Steam: Program Files>Steam>steamapps>common>Champions Online>Champions Online>Live>screenshots
If you started using ARC, it destroys your old screenshots when you dl it to same folder where CO files are.

I hadn't thought of two possible locations for costumes. Thanks for the info!

Later: Not there either. The Steam folder just seems a duplicate of contents of my other screenshots folder.

I know that some costumes won't apply/get saved if something bumps you too far away from the tailor prompt. NPCs have been doing that for a long time.

Yeah! The citizens of Mill City are a pushy bunch, aren't they?

I gave up using the RenCen tailors because of this. I either use Greer & Harlick in the PH or my private tailor/replicator at my Moonbase.

I'm having a similar problem and it makes absolutely no sense at all. 'Most' of my screenshots and costume files are in the usual C:\Program Files\Cryptic Studios\Champions Online\Live\screenshots folder and I can access the costumes in the tailor no problems.

That was up until the 27th of Jan, I can see that by the dates on the screenshots and costume file names. After the 27th until early yesterday, there are no more costume files or screenshots saved in that folder. However, I have saved costumes in that period, they are present in game in the tailor and I can use them in game, but they are not in that folder.

Yesterday evening I saved a costume and took screenshots, and they ARE in the folder, dated correctly.

Today is have saved costumes and taken screenshots, and they ARE NOT in the folder.

What the frag is going on?

For info, I've not changed any settings or moved any folders, i'm not on Steam or Arc. There's nothing in my Users\Saved games folder. I've done a c: drive search for my username and it only finds the costumes that i'm looking at right now in the folder, there's no sign of the missing ones. I can only guess the game is randomly saving some files on it's server, as I can still access them? Confused!

Okay, when I do it, I can't see the costumes (from the game) that I can see when I bloody go and look on my HD. When I saved a costume (in game tailor) and then tried to 'load costume' there was a new costume. I then went and did a search for the new costume.

According to "search all from root" there -wasn't- a new file created. I did a -new- character with a name I hadn't used before, saved at a tailor, and the costume was there...but my computer still says nothing new was saved.

I had Arc, it wasn't working correctly (didn't like that I didn't have -separate- installs of each game, instead used the 'shard selector' from my CO launcher), so I uninstalled it. I'd manually backed up my screenshots folders, just in case, but they are still there. But the game isn't saving to anywhere my computer can find, and the 'program files - perfect world' folder (where it installed Arc to begin with) has nothing, hidden or otherwise.

The files are saving, the game can see them, but even under admin settings, saying "show all files, even hidden" has -nothing- showing up. So either Arc has -higher- access than I do (this is my personal computer, and my access should be "I Am God" level) or it's saving in game.

So, where the <bleep> is it saving the costume files to?

if you have been messing about with various installs it may be that the game is registering the screenshots folder to be not the one you expect

    For example -

I originally installed CO using the standalone installer and my screenshots were located at C:\Program Files\Cryptic Studios\Champions Online\Live\screenshots\

I then installed Steam to get the xmas candy cane freebes and it started downloading the game again but to a new location. I cancelled the download and copied my existing CO Live folder to that location so now screenshots are at
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Champions Online\Champions Online\Live\screenshots

I have since installed Arc but it picked up on the steam location for my install and it launches the game from there (and screenshots and costume files are saved there)

What you may want to do is search for folders called Champions Online on your hard drive and see which if any has the most recent files (look in Live\logs\GameClient\ and see if the date of any of the files correspond to the last time you played)

If that doesnt shed any light, then you may want to uninstall any CO installations you have and start afresh. Other than that I think you may be down to rooting around in the registry.

Well, i have the reverse problem : when i save a costume it DOES appear in the correct folder, BUT every costume which has a date after 2012 does not appear in game in the tailor and i cannot load the costumes i made since 2 years

Even weirder it does that for only ONE character, most of my other chars can still save/load costumes normally

    Anyone get an idea?
