Here's my speedster, The Gingerbread Man. I'm having some trouble getting him to look much like a cookie. Any thoughts?

The costume file:

I made him as flat as I could, and chose the colors as much as I could to look like icing. But I feel somehow I'm missing some idea to put him firmly in the realm of delicious-tasting cookie.

Power Gem (in the chest emblem category) set to red (or another candy color)?

Did you get the Santa costume set? Those mittens might look good on the hands, though the fur around the wrist might look crummy. (EDIT: oh for crap's sake, that was totally unintentional. I mean the fur might look BAD.)

I'll look at it more when I get in game later. I'd try messing around more with tights patterns that have a 'raised' look in their bump mapping; the "Classic" sets, so forth. Maybe you can find a good one with thick stripes that look like icing, but you definitely want the white to be raised.

Really cool concept and a good-looking character already, though.

Cool. I didn't even know there WERE pants with raised icing-lines.

One thing that won't be apparent from just firing up the costume creator is that his feet have treads on them. UGH...so un-cookie like, and I have to look at those treads everytime he runs.

The name of it escapes me but I'm sure there's a tights pattern that gets a diamond shape on each kneecap, that might help the effect.

Also you have give him super-speed, "can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man!"

Hmm I am not a specialist when it comes to costumes like this, but maybe the clown nose to have like a gumdrop nose? And maybe either cracked skin or the earth form aura to make it look like a cookie texture or his body is cracking and crumbling like a cookie would?

    Hey bravehoptoad,

Do you have any if those Gingerbread Men Becomes (those 15 minute Christmas give-aways)? For comparison, I mean?

Also, if you can get a few and keep them handy, it might make a cool trans-formative power. Costumed hero to pure Gingerbread. Just an idea.

I think I've got one or two in my hideout bank I'm not using if you want them.

That's a good idea, about the clown nose. I wish I could get rid of his nose and ears altogether, but barring that, a clown nose might be right.

I didn't know there were Gingerbread Man becomes! They stole my idea! Oooooo....

I wonder if someone took a screenshot of this Gingerbread Man?

I don't think they ever made a Become that only came in limited varieties.

    Yes they did.

All halloween and christmas becomes have a limited version which lasts only 15 minutes.

Ooo...so jealous. There's no way to get a head that round in the costume designer. Or feet that stump-like.

Do you have an origin in mind for your Gingerbread Man? In case you weren't aware, in the Champions Universe it's possible for fairy-tale and nursery rhyme characters to have a real existence.

What about the snowman's head. Can it be recolored and flattened?

The DJ Madbot / Snow Man heads are sort of passable with the right colors but the bag pictured above probably is a better target. The sliders just don't send the first two far enough and they both have elements that are problems (the solidity of the former and the nose on both). The below is about the best I could pull off with a Snow Man: The biggest issue in some ways is that the eyes and mouth are color linked.
