    More than ANYTHING ELSE I want done in Champions Online (at least, personally) is Hideout Expansions. It's pretty obvious that they were meant to be, especially since you can actually get inside the other 2 wings in the Moonbase via a little 'exploit' (log off while standing on top of the Glass on the Dome, then log back in. You'll be inside the dome you are standing on top of). It can be assumed, from the Moonbase Domes, at least, that there was going to be either a Training/Powerhouse section (or possibly a Dueling/PvP area). Either way, that would have been AWESOME! But, alas, it was never released.

    If this content was at least started, could you just finish it? Heck, you could even charge a bit for the 'expansions' (like how you charge for more Account Bank slots). I know I'd pay for some extra amenities.

    Plus, you could have some Hideout-related missions/dailies, too. Make your Nemesis attack your Hideout; call the mission "All my Base" or something. If you make it a Daily that drops Questionite, but can only be played by those who own a Hideout, don't you think that would create some incentive to spend money to get a hideout? Win-Win!

    I hope a dev reads this. Or someone, for that matter. Anyone, really. I think this is important, or at least holds some good ideas.
    It makes sense, if you don't think about it.

    This. I'm just straight quoting the whole thing in the hopes they DO it.

    Look, im a month new to this game. To me, I look at the hideout and go 'why is that door closed?'

    even if the area isn't functional or coded, please. please. please. unlock the doors. Let us in. Let us SEE and use it. Let us feel like we get the whole product we paid for, rather than just a part. I'm serious. I'd be happy with getting into the areas even if they didn't function with coding, like the training room.

    Throw us that little bone? Just let us open the doors?

    So far the Hideouts that exist have proven that the basic layout can be used for very different themes. What I always felt amiss was something out in the open. For my forest spirit character a a "sanctuary" is not ideal, not even with druidic detail, since it's still a Vibora Bay style building...

    What I would like is a "camp" hideout. Which combines:
    * A mystical fairy grove
    * A cowboy camp in the desert
    * A little "olymp" on a mountaintop, or at least high up in the mountains if "on top" is not makeable
    * A Stonehenge-like location
    * A "heaven" in the clouds
    * An archeological digging site in Egypt in the 50s

    The basic shape should be circular, with a fireplace or light crystals in the middle. A location where tents, blankets, decorated loungers, arranged piles of leaves or whatever is suitable for sleeping in that location are put should be slightly elevated. That would be the tailor. On one edge should be water, just deep enough to make it meaningful for the character to bathe in. This hideout does not necessarily need a firm border, at some point you just can't go on as it is with certain caves. The computer would be in a little side clearing.

    A fairy grove may be surrounded by "the mists of Avalon", the cowboy camp by sandstone rocks, the olymp not at all, there would be just an steep slopes of the mountain and infite depth, the Stonehenge-like variant may in a small depression in the hills around it.

    Additions to the primal cave hideout I'd like to see:
    More plants for the tropical decoration!
    * Add optional plant vines where there are lava streams.
    * Add glowing orbs and mushrooms as lights.
    * Add stairs so you can walk back up from the bottom and let the players be able to swim in the water / lava below.
    * Add more free standing plants / palmst as decoration.
    * Add atmospheric details, such as fireflies in the air.
    * Add bats as optional ceiling decoration.
    * Add hanging vines as ceiling decoration.
    * Add coffins as decorative items for vampire characters.

    Characters on Primus DB (and their Nemeses):
    Marksmaid | Tenebris (Xalara) | Virtue | Dawnblaze (Sister Nightfall) | Rhinegold: Julie & Magdalena

    This is bit of a necro-reply but I wanted to bring this up as a good suggestion.

    What happened to the Dojo? I have been waiting on that one for a while.

    Also a team hideout would be an amazing idea as well. Make the SG Vault access within the hideout and all members of an SG have access to it. Just an idea... ☺

    How about if an SG have access to all members hideouts? That way if someone has the moonbase, they can serve as the "host" without having to continually invite the other members.

    Plus I like the Dojo idea as well. Maybe something like the "sparring room" in The Matrix, mixed with a tea house and temple.

    Yeah, I believe the 'Dojo' was going to be an addition that never happened. MY main clue for this is a little bug/glitch that gets you into the other 2 Domes in the Moonbase Hideouts.

    *note* For future reference, here is how you do it: Stand on top of the Dome you desire to go into. (Only the dome on the left has stuff in it, though.) Also, make sure the shielding isn't up. Then, when standing on the dome, log off and promptly log back in. You will be standing inside the usually inaccessible dome. In order to leave, you have to leave the entire Hideout; there is really no way out.

    The leftern-most dome has some weight lifting equipment, punching bags, and other Gym-related objects. I think this was meant to be a 'Dojo', which would probably function like a Powerhouse.

    Also, you KNOW they were planning to make these other domes completely functional because you can even engage/disengage the Dome Shielding from inside the 'Dojo' Dome! However, there is no other way to get into the Dome, other than the before mentioned exploit. The door inside it can't be activated.
    It makes sense, if you don't think about it.

    Not sure if this hideout has been suggested yet...

    I would like to see, personally, a 'military' style hideout. The Mom's Basement has a vigilante style and a high tech style (makes it seem like a personal quarter), but that only feels like a small part of what it could be.

    The main 'room' of sorts for this hideout should be something like a hanger. You have your containers, boxes, vehicles, maybe even the odd NPC or two, or three, walking around. The crime computer/personal bank, tailor and such, can be different rooms or sections to the hanger.

    And of course, thematically it can have different styles. You can have a World War 2 style base to give it an 'old' feel, a modern/PRIMUS military base, even a hi-tech one to give it a futuristic feel.

    Of course for other rooms, you can still get a couple of rooms that are quarters, a lounge like room, cooking hall, all those things.

    That's my 2 cents :cool:

    The basement hideouts are ridiculously small and terrible value for money.
    What's to stop a house having interconnecting basement rooms?

    As for new styles, I'd appreciate something appropriate to knight/spartan/gladiator type characters (castle courtyard + banquet hall with various period alternatives from valhalla to templars) and another for wild west type characters (Belle's saloon with a VIP room :smile:).

    And how about expanding the concept whereby the hideout has a real location in the world, like the Millennium City penthouse. It would be nice to be able to enter and exit that penthouse from the street (we already do enter that exact same building in the Nighthawk campaign). I'm not asking for extra functionality, just a better sense of immersion. You can keep the teleport acess for those in a hurry.

    And then, since you've done it with the penthouse, extend it so all the other hideouts have real access from the CO world. (The moonbase would need some creative thinking, obviously). It wouldn't really matter where in the world the entrance is since the main idea is to give a sense of place. The basement already has a location in Vibora Bay/Queen City; the sanctums are reminiscent of the Great Beast bookstore, so it's not a big leap of faith.

    How about for the moonbase have the outer wall where we can see the earth function as the heli-jet allowing us to go to millenium city, the desert, canada etcetera?

    Going through Whiteout the other day my brother and I both thought that the ship bridge in that would make a great basis for a hideout. With some additional furniture and a range of textures to suit different tech styles.

    So i propose: Spaceship Hideout

    Styles could include:

    * Semi-organic (Roin'Esh)

    * Organic (Qular, could share much of the Roin'Esh set but different colours)

    * Shiny Retro (Gadroon)

    * Futuristic (Until/modern scifi)

    The furnishings could be largely made with a lot of existing decor pieces from existing tech/moonbase hideouts and existing Gadroon, Qular and Roin'Esh objects.

    Options:

    * Choice of several moving space effects outside window/s or Earth or Moon from Orbit. (optional asteroids/satelites/fleet of ships outside would be truly epic!)

    * Hangar room with a small spacecraft fitting each theme (and if the tech allows a players own vehicle/s!) and function as the exit

    * Monitor displaying ship schematic and/or external view that could be chosen between showing the ship as a Qular ship, Gadroon Ship, Roin'Esh ship, Sleek retro style Rocketship or can display an image of earth

    A few simple reskins for Moonbase:

    Arctic base - skybox changed for winter, ground textured in snow and ice.
    Desert base - skybox changed for desert, ground textured like desert map.
    Underwater base - skybox and ground changed to mimic Lemuria.

    Of course physics on all reskinned maps would need to be normal, no Moon gravity. Also, it may be not possible to have underwater Lemuria physics on the outside, but not in the base.

    Add Angelic sanctum
    And allow for aggressors ie: when you invite guest to your hideout you can have your nemesis attack for a little roleplay.
    That's my pen and paper Gamemaster coming out I think.

    Well, just so you know, the other, unreleased rooms for the Basement actually double, if not triple, the size of the hideout. The 'Training Room' is about twice the size of the main Hideout, as is. Maybe even bigger.

    If you REALLY want to see what's been done so far, but never completed, there's a way to get out of the map, or at least where you should be, for most of the Hideouts (dunno if there's a way to get out of the Sanctum) Here's how you do it...

    Cave: For the Cave, the way I do it best requires the Industrial Cave variant. What you do is jump on top of the Ventilation System (on the ceiling) and then log out. Immediately log back in, and it places you back a little ways above where you last logged out. This is high enough to actually place your character outside of the map. and able to explore the 'void' outside the actual Hideout. Here, you can see a Crafting Room (with variations for all the Pre On Alert crafting schools) and the beginning of a Training Room, with Punching Bags, Treadmills, etc. Also, you can stand on a platform behind the Tailor Display Cases, which then kinda acts like a '1-Way Mirror'. Spy on your friends!

    Moonbase: First of all, make sure the Dome Shields are down. Don't leave them up! Then, leave the Moonbase dome, and go to one of the other, auxiliary domes. One of them is practically empty (the one on the right if you're looking into the doorway of the Main Dome) and the other one looks like a Training Room (the left one). If you stand on one of the domes, but not on the Metal Lattice part, and then log out, when you log back in you will have fallen through the Dome and into the room below. Like the Cave, there is little to see or do here, although the Leftmost dome does have a panel to open/close the Blast Shield.

    Basement: For this one, you just need to walk into the Hideout, log out, and log back in. Easy. You'll be above the room, and see what looks like wooded 'slats' which would make up the roof. To the left, you can see a large training room, alongside a smaller Crafting Room (similar to the Cave). Also, for some reason, there's a floating Tesla Coil around there.

    Penthouse: This one is a bit... different. Although it's not exactly related to the Secret, unfinished Rooms, it's still an exploit to get out of the map.

    There's a certain building (I think it was to the North, or to your right if you're standing on the Balcony and looking out the windows) where, if you keep running at a specific angle between the corner of a building and an 'invisible wall', you can get through the 'invisible wall' and into a barren, unpopulated version of Millennium City. There are some parts missing (the ground for the entire Ren Cen isn't there), but there's also no more Invisible Walls where they would normally be in normal Millennium. For instance, you can actually keep following the Highway that runs to the North of the City Center. Using Superspeed, I was able to follow it for about 10 minutes. There's A LOT of unused area out there. I mean, it goes for miles (I mean, if you could measure a mile in-game, based on in-game scaling, it would actually go for many in-game miles)!

    As of right now, I'm not sure how to exit the Sanctuary, or find the Crafting Room for the Moonbase. Also, I don't know if you can find the Training or Crafting rooms for the Penthouse. Have fun with these little 'secrets'!
    It makes sense, if you don't think about it.

    What about abandoned subways and sewers? Ninja Turtle type setups for instance. This might even include a lair or swamp-esque location with a toxic waste theme or sludge pit. Also a celestial palace or crystalline or alien base or ship. Or even a ship at sea or in the air much like S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Hover Carrier in Marvel Comics. A computerized lab or any hideout that included a display that had a copy of your hero's costume inside as if on display would be cool too. That would give it a classic Bat Cave style that everyone absolutely loves. Of course a partially assembled recreation of your hero's power armor in a lab would give it that Iron Man feel that has become famous as well. The addition of your favorite vehicle parked inside your hideout would also be really cool.

    A "Save settings" function please. Hideouts would be so much better if we didn't have to reconfigure the whole thing each time we select a different one.

    Also, hideouts for the middle class. Not everyone is either a millionaire or a basement dweller.
