I would buy emotes. Shut up and take my money.

This is a game where you can literally RP anything ranging from a superhero, to a brooding mercenary, to a gigantic hermaphroditic pink and orange cat-lizard. Give us some new superhero emotes! Give us some new brooding mercenary emotes! And if time permits, give us- well whatever.

Also, for absolutely no related reason whatsoever, I'd like people to name 5 emotes each they never use.

If there are new emotes, I'd most like to see two new Dance emotes: Macarena, and Gangnam Style. :D

    negatory on the dances! lol

but i would at least like to see some commonality with STO where we seem to have some lovely emotes - who wouldnt want to see their asian/ninja/karate expert performing tai chi to relax (or mokbara in klingon terms from sto)

Or the 2 facepalms they have on STO...

I mean... what better response when watching a Marvel or DC clone than to simply facepalm?

This is the only game I ever saw that doesn't have emote of... lying down. Lol?
We also need emote of simply sitting on the ground. Not only this afk_sit.
As for emotes never used by me.
I'm not using emotes in CO anyway. They are too limited and too few.
Except maybe for using dance_mix from time to time, when I'm leaving my toons afking.

For the longest time, City of Heroes didn't have a lying down emote.

When it was finally added, pretty much the only time I saw it used was in combination with someone else using the push-ups emote. :/

    1) any of the rock/paper/scissors emotes

    2) most of the dances, some are stupid looking

    3) the bow emote, because not everyone bows like that

    4) the countdown emote, just cause I never have a reason to use it

    5) the yes and no emotes, cause they dont offer enough variety in the way they say yes or no

I find myself using almost every emote whenever I can. But an emote that puts you in a stance would be nice.

    Ones I want...

    1) The ones that we got from STO, only to get them yanked; I think they were Facepalm, Air Guitar, Chicken Dance. Keep Chicken Dance, but gimme Facepalm and Air Guitar!

    2) Heroic fists on hips pose, ala old school Superman...

    3) Weapons drawn, dimmit!

    4) The Melbourne Shuffle, 'cause every day I'm shufflin'...

    5) The Fish Slapping Dance. The fish do damage, but only when the emote is active. Greatest PVP matches EVAR!

What I don't use. Well, no, easier to list what I do use, since the emote system is a pain so I almost never use them...

    1) I dance once a year during the Anniversary event...

    2) I bow occasionally...

    3) I cheer more than anything else...

    4) I think I waved once...

    5) There is no 5. That's it...

Emotes I never use... you only want 5? shoot, here we go from the top of the list...

    1. AFK

    2. AFK_Sit

    3. Alert

    4. BattlePlan

    5. BattlePlanListen

...when I first saw the emotes in this game I thought "Oh, these emotes would actually be useful while running stuff, like to signal when people should attack and stuff like that!" ...but... the pacing of the game doesn't really lend itself to any of that being used in that manner.

The emotes I would like are anything that involves pulling out your weapons or useng your powers or weapons....

    1. juggling fire, snow, electoral, shadow, magic balls
    2. Blowing fire, ice, venom
    3. one where you turn you legs in fire and hold a fire ball in each hand
    4. Blasting lightning in the air
    5. floating books, fire balls, glaciers, shadow balls, lightning balls.
    6. Goku's charge up blast.
    7. Sniping, pull open your sniper rifle like you are going to shoot.
    8. Glowing eye, for heat vision.
    9. Any heroic pose you can think of.
    10. Any other cool emotes using our powers will be cool.

I just want them for screen shots :P

I don't think you want that. Because it would mean I would have to have you hunted down and neutered.

The absolutely stupid terrible 'I'm sitting here pouting like a little baby and I won't stop it until I want to!' emote for females. They lost a perfectly good sit emote for something that's an absolute ugly as all get out joke.

I'd just like to add that selling emote packs is a sizable source of profit for the F2P MMO-Shooter called Battlefield Heroes (owned by EA). Check it out!

In other words, Perfect World is losing out on sales dollars by not selling fun emote packs.

I would love to see lots of emotes; I think they should release emote packs including but not limited to:
    1. Hideout emotes, making hideout objects interactive (Hello Piano!)
    2. Two-person emotes (requiring permission, naturally, with an toggle for autoperms for friends on your friendlist)
    3. "Dramatic" Emotes in which your character gesticulates wildly and appears quite agitated and/or excited about something they're saying
    4. Stance and Draw emotes (for posing and weapons posing respectively)
    5. Card emotes which allow you to hold up numbers, basic symbols, or a single non-censored word up to, say, 6-8 characters on a sign
    6. Equipment emotes (cellphone calling/answering, tablet use, binoculars, whistles)
    7. Sentai emotes (wild gesticulations ending in dramatic poses)

As for emotes I never use ...

    1) Any of the multitude of beast-y ones where I'm eating off the ground or whatever
    2) Any of the computer ones
    3) Rock-Paper-Scissors
    4) sit_heroic (which needs to die in a fire)
    5) Any of the battle-plan ones.

As for emotes I do not use:

    1) Battleplan ... rarely if EVER.

    2) Battleplan Listen ... see above

    3) dance emotes ... the only one I really use is Snake

    4) the Beast emotes ... none of them really work for even my most feral or bestial characters

    5) all of the Rock Paper Scissors emotes

Now as for emotes I'd like to see, definitely:

a few more 'modern' dances (not these stiff and rather cumbersome ones)

Sentai/tokusatsu pose emotes would be awesome for all the Sentai / tokusatsu Hero / martial artist characters

some 'weapon(s) drawn' versions of emotes would be great (for that matter a function to have our weapon(s) drawn when we want, similar to WoW would be sweet)

And on the subject of Tokusatsu-style role call poses, how about some costume change emotes similar to what CoX had going ... maybe mod the interface of the costume change screen to add an emote to each change to a specific costume. That said, some Henshin/Sentai transformation costume change emotes would rock.

And still on that subject, but not for discussion here, maybe some (more) Toku-themed costume options, similar to the helmet types and varieties seen in Kamen Rider, Metal Hero, Super Sentai/Power Rangers etc.

We have a lot of people who came over from CoH who have shown that they will buy little things like this.
