Need help converting CoH costume to CO

So one of my favorite concepts in CoH was a hero by the name of Doctor Euphoric.

Here

Und here

My two attempts made me just a little sad. No toothy grin, the pants aren't crisp, the Jacket looks smushed, no poka-dot bow tie, and no tweed pattern (only a horrendous Plaid or a good, but not tweed, Pinstripe)

Try one

Try two

Can someone with better Costume-fu, please help me convert this character? I can't imagine this is the best this CC can do.

don't hold on to the old game to much, embrace the new one with all its flaws :)

Now would definitely be a good time to update his look. Look at some of the costume unlocks available, especially new shadows stuff and play around.

On your attempts in the CO creator, the colors just seem a bit bright. Try some of the more muted color choices. Experiment with things you normally wouldnt use, you will be surprised with what can happen.

It's less holding on to the old game, and more holding on to the character himself. He's definitely getting upgraded costumes, but the custom Purple and Blue Tweed three piece suit? That's like his red and blue tights. That's home for him. It's not the same character without it.

Ah well, I'll tweak his stuff a bit, and see what happens. I just wasn't sure if I was missing costume unlocks that suddenly made the costume. Like kill a 1000 of these guys for the poka-dot bow tie, or 5000 of these for the tweed pattern or something.

    Thanks for the info!

had a few minutes so threw this together. It might keep you going until you can unlock/buy more costume elements. Pretty sure these are all free pieces.

There is the anniversary bow tie which has a bit of sparkle to it and might give you something like the spotted effect you are after. can be got in the AH for next to nothing or someone in your SG might have one for free in their bank - they were a very common drop from the gift packs.

I have about 300 Aniversery gifts left, so I'll go through some of them until I get the tie, awesome!

I'll probably use the pinstripe until I find something to ransom for a proper tweed jacket, but the tie and however jasin got that smile will help oodles.

    Much thanks!
