Oh, I should have known it wasn't for anything as constructive as making the server run more smoothly.
Well it's running fine for some of us, so unless you have some specific information to give for why it's not running smoothly for you and others then what do you expect them to do? If you want them to do their jobs and fix your issue, then you have to give them something to go on other than "It's happening to me". For all we know it's just something going on in between their servers and your location and they can't actually do anything about it.

Constant lag, Server Not Responding and frequent disconnects, all happening far more over the past few days. It has been happening over in Neverwinter too, so seems to be a Cryptic issue.

Your internet journey to both CO and NW is the same as the games share hardware in the same physical location just outside of Boston. You do not connect directly to the game server, your information routes through the interenet the same as all other traffic - thus you get latency. Times when everyone disconnects/snr/lags at once (can be seen in game quite clearly when everyone experiences this) can probably be put at the door of Cryptic or their server host equipment. Given the fact that other people are not experiencing these symptoms to the same level as you it would seem the problem is not Cryptic's but rather would be traced to some ip node between you and the boston area which is dropping information packets.
Yeah, in the last few weeks I can only think of one single time I had a lag problem, and it went away in less than a minute. I can't imagine Cryptic's hardware and software singling people out like that.
Blaming people's computers and connections for Cryptic's failings is like blaming the guy on the next street over when his power goes out and yours doesn't...that in no way renders his problem void. Cryptic has shown again and again their equipment is outdated and their techs largely incompetent. I don't know why this surprises anyone.

At this point, I think you're actually being willfully ignorant about how the internet works. Or maybe that you're a Comcast employee running a false flag op to deflect blame for their crappy peering for customer rates under 150 Mbps. Either way, I wish the mods could put a "Show Cause" flag on your account, and not allow you to post unless you prove that Cryptic is causing you alone out of its thousands upon thousands of concurrent users to experience consistent lag.
Choose your enemies carefully, because they will define you / Make them interesting, because in some ways they will mind you
They're not there in the beginning, but when your story ends / Gonna last with you longer than your friends

Wish away. As I and many others have experienced over the past two years, Cryptic excels at hammering down on any criticism while ignoring the actual issues to the point it is like the proverbial ostrich with its head in the sand. I have no doubt this thread will be closed because I actually cast blame where blame was due, and/or I will be Jailed/Banned as has happened before and will no doubt happen again. I really don't care. Just be glad the lag and dc's aren't as frequent here as they are over in Neverwinter (and considering it's all the same company and servers, why, pray tell, would that be?). I'm just curious as to why people like you take such offended umbrage at the mere suggestion Cryptic could have been working on something more 'constructive' than a broken Colossus...why do you care what I think? Maybe if anyone here is an employee with a vested interest in the company's reputation, it's you.
It's folks suggesting maybe your ISP's not all that good or maybe it's your machine. It's not a conspiracy to squash any and all complaints that appear on the forums. Take it down a notch.
run tracert and check that.
NW- mine was working ok till the first update. then had that problem until I updated my graphics card. after which it ran great... too bad the game was awful.
But that's just mine.
random DC's or SNR's I get some days but never in a pattern I can work out.
Best was when a person complained about lag,DC's and that the person in the same room as them on another computer didn't have it

Go ahead and keep defending Cryptic, spinnytop--you're like that Geico commercial...if you're spinnytop, you defend Cryptic, it's what you do. It's all you ever do lol. Makes us wonder if you're on the payroll.

By "us" do you mean all the other people in this thread who are also telling you that you're full of crap?

Wait I might be late to this party but are people saying Spinnytop aka Foxi defends Cryptic? Same Foxi that just insults devs randomly whenever they pop up in game?
You serious?

Also, has being banned happened to you before? Questionable at best.
