Thanks for your reply, my fault I didn't read it correctly. Though, I tried with a cheap offensive core mod to test and it can't be slotted in either. So if someone has a better idea than me as to which mods exactly can be used, or it actually is a bug, it'd be great to let me know.

I saw someone link one of those in zone chat yesterday. The description of the item specifically says it can't use certain types of mods, and also that it can't use anything stronger than rank 5. It listed several mods by name, all of which are new style core mods. You're trying to slot an old-style core mod. It might be that the gear simply does not accept core mods.

Noted. Well, no luck even with what I believe to be the latest offense mods, from the cosmics(giant monsters) either. Couldn't find the page you talked about myself, atleast not on forums. If you remember a few mod names from the list, let me know. Thanks.

Found out. It seems only the severity core mod from gold recognition vendor can be slotted, for now i guess.

You can slot any of the 'new' mods that match the type of secondary it is (i.e. crit mods can go in offense, various resistance mods can go in defense, most of the +damage mods are actually utility).
