Guild Wars II was voted the best game so far this year simply because it released more free updates in its first 6 months than most games release in their first 2 years. Lesson to be learned Cryptic
All they talk about is a new race, Sun/Moon elves. Nothing is said about a new class. If the do not introduce a new class in this summers update then I can see a lot of people leaving this game and going onto something with a bit more polish. P.S. Cryptic are famous for not delivering what they promise.
Well a I have said before Control wizards in 4th edition use knives and wands, not floating balls, Trickster Rogues use crossbows and clerics can turn undead. That is just what I have noticed, I am sure others can find more changes that need not be done but cryptic have.
The real question here is why did cryptic feel they had to change so much? I think they are useless and didn't know how to do those things so decided on an easier version and we now see the result.
In 4th edition rules TR's use crossbows so why does Cryptic not allow this or clerics to turn undead or wizards to use wands and daggers? All of which can be used in the 4th edition.
D&D online can have lots of classes so why not Cryptic? I know why, Cryptic never delivers on its promises, never have and never will until the playing public tell them enough is enough.
4th Edition has wizards using knives and clerics turning undead and Rogues using xbows so this isn't even a half decent copy of the rules, its a bastardized version and if Wizards of the Coast had any brains they would stop Cryptic from saying this is D&D.
They have 2 melee class, 1 tank, 1 healer and a support class. Why 2 melee class? why not 1 and a ranged class? this is basic D&D it is not complicated. D&D has always had a ranged class from the very first set of rules in the 70's (yes I played them) so why is it cryptic gets something so simple so wrong?
I have not used 4th edition D&D but I know the rules and clerics doing double damage against undead does not affect the "balance" as there should not be balance in a PvE game and as players are not undead it does not affect PvP. It has vbeen a basic fact from the very first D&D in 1974 that some magics, both arcane and…
Control is all very well but it only works in a group. If you are on your own you need damage far more than control, what is the point of slowing something down when it will get to you no matter what you do and pushback does not work on a charging enemy. All I ask is we can kill things we slowdown without having out health…
