I think the cleric brings more offensive buffs/enemy debuffs and the paladin brings more damage mitigation. SO a cleric for faster runs, a pally for safer runs.
You do need a lot of black ice... IF you want to do the elemental infusion of the elven/m6-pvp/dragonflight/lionsmane armors. Takes a huge chunk to get your profession to level 5 (50k+), plus the amount needed to do the armor upgrades. ... but that's the only reason. :/
I think that one's a bug? Since the catapults (and depots?) can get healed, which is stupid, it's not unreasonable to think they're picking up player buffs as well (also stupid). I haven't noticed the immunity, but I'm a DC so even when I'm attacking a node I'm really just backing up a dpser, so I may just be unobservant.
Even with the big auto-clutch capstone on Faithful, you'll find yourself needing a lot of big heals unless you have an overgeared party. In T2 dungeons and on stronghold dragons, the hits come hard and fast enough that you'll need to think fast and heal well, and the capstone will only save a party member some of the time…
I've never not gotten trade bars from the VIP keys. Only got 1 jackpot so far, but thats supppsed to be rare anyway. Maybe the drop rate is different for different lockboxes? I was doing rusted iron until I ran out.
On the plus side, you no longer need to have boons to get into IWD. Actually, unless they changed the rules in the last few weeks you don't even need to be 70 to get the Vault of the Nine quest. You'll get the "you're too low level!" alert when you enter Caer Konig, but since you're only running over to the tavern to pick…
They may also be trying to play the AH to their advantage - i.e. they saw there were only a few posted at the lower price, bought them all and are reposting high.
I dunno, if you're running a healer build a tank or healer companion doesn't seem necessary. I did my 60-70 leveling with a striker, for a little bit of extra damage. Leveling a cleric is slow enough already :P I second the angel recommendation!
A rust monster is generally a good bet for a DC, the passive gives enemies a damage debuff when they hit you. If you're soloing, they make a decent striker and one of their attacks is an additional damage debuff. For dungeons, you'll want an augment. Ioun stone's easiest to get, I've heard if you can get it the chicken has…
Would like to add to the chorus of voices saying please please PLEASE fix the bugged rank 4 powers. Since I haven't seen it posted as an example on this thread, the CD for Icy Terrain adds 2 seconds at rank 4 instead of being 2 sec faster (so a net 4 seconds slower than it should be). It's like a death blow for Oppressor…
I run a MoF build, my M5 build was capstone Thaum with 10 pts in Oppressor (to buff Furious Immolation). I've switched to capstone Oppressor and am putting some extra points in Renegade and I REGRET NOTHING! I hit lvl 64 this morning and while my dps is going down every level as expected, the perma-freeze I'm getting from…
I get the same weird party UI, though only the last 2 party members "stack" like that for me. I submitted a bug report in-game, but bless you for having a screen shot because it's hard to describe. :P
The stat curve gets worse every time you gain a level above 60. For example without changing and gear, my CW had 10.9% at 61, 10.1% at 62, and now 9.5% at 63.
Mine said 2:33pm... for 3 of my characters. The fourth for some reason skipped the final invoke last night (around midnightish?) and went straight to the 1st invoke again (... I should do a bug report for that one).
I posted earlier about Benefit of Foresight, but it just occurred to me... Why is the DO paragon Benefit of Foresight feat in the Faithful tree? Going through the paths, it seems like the Virtuous tree is designed to be a HoT/damage mitigation path and Faithful is all-up healing. Why then bury a solid damage mitigation…
That's horrible. Considering how extensively the feats have been restructured they need to reset all of the paragon feats or the "free" reset is anything but. Even if they're not being changed, ALL feats (including heroic) should be reset. It's very hard to select feats for the new builds if we're stuck with feats…
DO-specific feat does not reset When the feats are automatically reset on the test server, Benefit of Foresight (Divine Oracle) was NOT reset, even though the tier 1 feats on the Faithful tree were.
When I tried out some new builds on the preview server, paragon feats were reset but nothing else. HOWEVER, Benefit of Foresight was still maxed, which is a tier 2 feat so that was weird (as the tier 1 feat on the faithful tree did reset, leaving Benefit of Foresight hanging out by itself). This was fine when I was testing…
CW's were top dps before m4, but this combo is even more crazy. I play a MoF, but a guildy is running a spellstorm and using this combo. He's regularly out-dpsing the rest of the party by 6-7 million in SP, ToS, and VT (pre-final boss). This includes runs with SWs. I don't really care about being Paingiver, which is why I…
I rarely see 180 BI drop, but over a 2(3?)-week period of casual farming (i.e. responding if someone announced remo or beholder) I did get both the gauntlet and weapon drops from epic encounters. I didn't really do anything differently than I would in a dungeon run for the epic encounters - SB for divinity, divine cast AS…
As far as I know, nothing has been mentioned about any cleric changes. We might see an uptick in desirability of clerics in dungeon runs because groups will need our buff/debuffs more. Not sure what if anything will change in pvp. I'm okay with the current cleric mechanics, except I wish the pvp campaign was a little more…
That's a good question. Based on the description I was assuming each player would only grant you 100 (as opposed to saying "each strike grants you...". But the tooltip doesn't always match the effect. I'm only a few days away from the second boon (I think). Maybe I'll get VR just to test it out.
