I just started playing on PS4 a little over a week ago and I ran into this bug my second day. It's been 8 days that I haven't been able to be placed in the group I queued for and haven't been able to get the astral diamond bonus from dungeons as a result. Customer service said they couldn't help me. I stopped playing that…
I don't even play a SW, but I agree with you. I had a lot of fun leveling my control wizard to 60, but as soon as I hit 60 I had to change the way I play the class in order to not die in two hits from... well everything. Dying over and over is the least amount of fun you could have in a game. I actually tried leveling a…
I agree with you. I thought this game would be closer to other D&D games. I wanted more customization for both the look of my character, and the class. I'm used to D&D games having tons of classes, multi classing, advanced classes, and paragon paths. This game had 5 classes, and two of them are just different paths of the…
The things you buy should be the only thing you get from spending money. You should buy them because you want them, and they should be reward enough. Usually, that's enough. This game is the only MMO I've ever had buyer's remorse in, and I've played a lot of MMO's since I first discovered them in 1999. The buy +…
I agree with you on the title of your thread, but as someone who didn't really enjoy pvp and quit before Gauntlgrym, I can't agree or disagree with the subject of your post. I do however agree that the game was unfinished. I was really shocked to see that the game came out of beta with still no way to upgrade your…
When game companies hire a marketing company or department to promote their game by using numbers like this, they use the number of accounts made or active subscribers. In a free to play game with no subscription fee, there is no way to know who is currently playing and who is not, so they just count all accounts ever…
Randomly generated is randomly generated, there isn't really any "better random". I've not spent more than $15 a month on Gw2 cash shop and I have every single rare skin or event mini pet. I even have all the Christmas and Halloween ones. That's the nature of random. Plus, the items from Gw2 gem store are all "fluff"…
I already have buyers remorse for spending $60 on my Guardian pack which did not help as much as I thought it would. Compared to the two other games I have bought founders packs for, this one was by far the worse deal. And to add insult to injury, I had $30 worth of "Ultimate Game Card" (which are useful in game currency…
I agree completely. I'd rather pay a subscription and get access to a complete game with character slots, bank space, bags, respecs, upgradeable companions, competitive enchantments and mounts, and any race I want (drow). There are other western free to play MMOs or buy to play (which I prefer), and they do a lot better…
I completely agree with this. The price of everything in the cash shop, and the fact that I will never ever be able to get more inventory space or respec my character without paying real life money is such a detractor for me that it makes me just not want to play this game at all. I feel like I'd be better off to use that…
I've been thinking about this for a while too, and I've grown disillusioned with this game and no longer play. I've played many games with a cash shop, including both free to play, pay to play and subscription based and I can honestly say this is the one game that not only does my dollar not go as far, but far more things…
What the original poster is talking about is a bug(?) where the guardian fighter knocks you down and you can't get back up, until you eventually die. It's like being crowd controlled forever as he eventually whittles down your hp, and it sucks. Losing control of your character, whether it's a stun, a knockdown, or daze or…
Hi, I don't know if anyone helped you or not since due to limited time, I cannot read this entire thread on my break, but you can view any companion before naming it by righting clicking it and selecting one of the options. I think it's "preview" if I remember correctly. That's what I did with my wizard before binding him.…
Honestly, I don't care for RP, and most of the RP I've encountered in my MMO experiences has lead to me being VERY uncomfortable around them, but I'd rather risk playing on an RP server than have to deal with all the spam and terrible character names. I prefer "in character" names instead of "leetsniper420" or…
Awesome cosmetic outfits? I know that's what I want to spend my money on! I wonder if you can find dye in game? In Guild Wars 2 I have to re-dye my armor like every day because I get bored of the same colors, and spending $4 per bottle of dye which is only one time use is not going to work for me in this game.
I had the same problem with my payment not going through. Moneylenders bills out of the UK and I'm in America so my bank decided to not approve the payment. I called them and worked it out and then had to wait like another 24 hours before I could finally buy the founder's pack. But Cryptic/ Perfect World never took any…
I already gave constructive criticism on the pricing based on other games with cash shops, both buy to play and free to play games. I took in to account the original buy-in price in buy to play games and compared it to the same $60 buy-in that I paid for my founders pack. That thread is buried under 46+ pages of threads…
Game companies do need to turn an actual profit. They have to pay the salary of artists, coders, testers, localization programmers, producers and anyone else involved in making the item. The item needs to be balanced between making enough money to justify the cost of programing it and making the customer satisfied. We…
It's probably because we want to spend money. We just think the prices are over inflated, and that they would make more money from us if they lowered them. edit: I foolishly bought $20 worth of zen before I checked the prices of things in the zen store. I will not pay a dollar more unless there is some kind of sale of zen…
Guild Wars 2 does have an in game currency to real money currency transfer, the rate is actually pretty reasonable too. I paid the same amount of money for Guilds Wars 2 that I did for my founder's pack for Neverwinter, and Guilds Wars 2 is a more complete game experience, they gave me way more bank space, way more…
Oh, I was wondering why I had 600 zen, that must be what it's from, Champion's Online. Honestly, I want to spend money on the zen store, but I do feel that everything is way overpriced. I usually allow myself $20-30 a month to spend on micro-transactions (or game subscriptions), but with the zen store the way it is that…
Uhh, I thought I posted this in the bug report forum? Oops... I guess it's sort of relevant here. Ok, it's not, I hope some moderator could move this for me?
The author makes kind of a big deal about the character's name being "Drizzt" and not "Drizzit" in the annotations of several of the books, so I can see where he is coming from. Maybe English isn't his first language?
To what end? I really don't think that game developers are trying to trick you in to accidentally spending in game currency. Just try to do all the daily missions for a couple days and you'll earn it right back. You can also find stuff in dungeons and sell it on the auction house to earn a pretty decent amount.
Haha, I haven't seen anyone with a bear yet unfortunately. I bet they will add more companions/ pets. The companion trainer says something like, "How would one train a gelatinous cube?..." and I was all like "Must.. get... cube...", but sadly there does not appear to be any gelatinous cube companion either. :(
Hey, I apologized for sounding like an elitist jerk! Sorry if I somehow offended you or something? I do realize how it sounds, but I actually enjoy interaction with my fellow player. The zone chat the way it is now is limiting my ability to meet new people, join random groups, laugh at silly jokes, and just enjoy the…
Actually I think ALL npcs in this game need to tone down the one liners. You can't idle at any campfire without hearing "WILL YOU TAKE UP THE CALL?!" or "Welcome to the Shrine of the Gods" over and over. It's so bad that I sometimes have to alt tab out of the game if I'm going to be idle for a few minutes near an NPC.
