I think seperated queues are an improvement, the ones who team up with 2-3 player may want to have fun, but their fun very often means pain to the other team. Starting a pug match with maxed chars and an immortal DC on top is by sure fun, having a near 100% win. The gear gap is another problem for every newcomer and hard to solve in a game/PVP with near no participants except 3k+ toons. Atm everthing is mixed in one match because there are only few player doing PVP. Maybe the get to queue, the macthes will get more equal. I would also give premades a playground, it can´t be that complicated cryptic.
so someone campfiring is a new thing exclusive to the solo queue event? because im pretty sure it happens regularly in pvp. you cannot control people is all that video shows. i have yet to see a logical reason as to why the solo and regular queue systems cannot coexist. is it fear that there will be no more easy wins? premades will have to fight premades all the time? yikes! a game should not be centered around bis players. the bulk of the community is not bis. the new solo queue system is a great way to actually have fun, especially in the not knowing if youll get a good team. i look forward to the testing coming to console!
Now this is a solo queue again and show exactly what is lowbie players hypocrisy trashtalking pvpers for "pugs stomping", first everybody cries about premades or duo trio que groups which you can also form within your own guild as well so here we are a PuG queue solo match where some Mao De Prata guys stop fighting and all my effort was in vein as two of them simply stopped playing and thus resulted in a loss and I spent some time in there. Are still against a vote kick? cause if I had a little bit more time till the end of that match with any regular normal 2 players I would have won if they just been a body on node I wasnt expecting much anyway and yes I would vote kick them out and as a solo queue event, would you be that happy if you run into similar players? I think not, thats why normally I queue with trio or duo so that I have decent chance of win even if the other players are clueless and depending on who I got matched against I can win with double effort but not in this case is this solution to PvP this solo queue? I think it is not cause if you got a whole map of 2k+ players , the team who got BiS players owns the other no matter how many in numbers at once they come.
this is the solution to bring more players into pvp, which is the biggest problem right now. only cryptic is too diplomatic to say it. stop speculated about minor things. period
trio to have decent chance to win? lol i am sure you win almost everytime.think again about it
bro I dont que for pvp once a day to get shards and daily win, I play 2-3 hours, domination pops almost all the time, my average wait time is not even 5 minutes on european time. I ment I que trio cause if my pugs are super bad and clueless and it happens I meet premade owhich can be defeated that way anyway due to many people do not understand rotations are most important part of dom and play outside of node or I meet other trio of some decent players you cant win it with pugs not unless they are sorta similar. The issue I mentioned is real cause people either blame premade, high geared players or bad pugs or that they got vote kicked out its pure hypocrisy just look at the vid dude and see it all makes sense.
You also like to call it "luck" when people take down your lock so whatever dude. Elitist bis people can stay on regular queue or try solo or go hunt pve players in icewind dale. Who cares anyway what you do or what I do? Nobody but the person in question thats who. So do your thing and kindly leave everyone else do their thing. Period.

so you admit that you premading several hours a day, ruining everything. nice.
now you can gather your aliance 20 players and together que for gauntlgrym and dont be bothered of useless pugs. you even dont need to say thanks for this advice ....
@xsayajinx1 i dont have many problems to find a premade to play with but 8 times out of ten we end up fighting random peeps. I m also tried of people screaming on team speak. Last thing setting up a premade always is a pain because of different people free times. I m for example KO after 23.30... Many people just woke up at 23.30 ( good for them but i need to work). I just enjoy solo q
As a first step i am applauding it, still have to agree with some skeptics here, in it's current form worse than normal Domination.
Sure it draws more people into PVP, but some run with Mod 5 chars, zero to very few enchants and outdated gear. Now by the time they get gear-, if they ever want it, not just the easier AD-, they will pull down tons of teams with them.
My verdict, solo q rocks, but is worthless without proper brackets and class maximization (2 DCs or other combo still ruins everything).

i have amazing fun with my alt cleric 2,600 IL with burning gear. i even get achievement for most assists in the match))
1. I have never seen any of those names before! (Seems it really attracts new people to try out pvp, let's see how long it lasts because #2)
2. Toons of QQ in 4 of 5 matches
3. Farmed little over 100+kills
4. 4wins : 1 lose
5. I see lots of "PvE encounters", many people on pillars (in general not on node), soulforge enchants, people who run to homebase at the very start.
6. 2x 4k GF on my team. Enemy team full of 2-3k player.
The only difference I feel so far is: you can even easier farm pugs and boost your k/d. How long will it take until "new PvPer" are tired of getting farmed is the question. Then we go back to the roots.
the point is they will get farmed, but still get win and resources regularly
Had a great couple of hours. Even took two of my zero enchant alts in for a couple of matches. Found out I'd forgotten how to play a TR.
Much better experience all round, reminds me of the days when I first started pvp-ing back in mod 2. Mixed bag of good and bad players, running about, getting ganked, one shots, fun.
No idea what my toon is now.

I am probably going to participate with classes that I have never, ever done domination with. Because why not?

First feedback from the solo queue event - thumbs up!
Suggestion for ranking players: Do a better job of ranking players based on defeating other players ranked close to them. Change the algorithm so that 1000:0 pug stomps don't at all improve the PVP player's rank in the standings.
Every ranking system will be gamed, but remove the incentive for the elite players to take all the fun away from the new PVP players.

What a difference a day makes! PVP hasn't been enjoyable in a long time. I que'd six times yesterday over a span of a couple of hours and ran into the same dishonorable pre-made in 5 of them. Completely gutless if you know what I mean. No capping,no acknowledging "gg", farming kills, corpse jumping... The whole works. True Jerks that Cryptic has allowed to destroy a fun activity.
Today, I que'd six times and had a blast. Most were competitive and if they weren't no one had a problem giving quarter and allowing capping. Yes, there were some players that end up on your team that are clueless... Quickly typed chat suggestions really helped.
What I missed most about PVP was the random grouping and improvised strategy throughout the match to make different, unchosen player combinations work. That's actually the fun in PVP at least for me.
I hope the horror show of pre-made hell is over for those of us who have no wish to be part of the ubercompetative team BIS BS we have been made to endure. May all you wonderful gentlemanly pre-mades languish in empty ques and as Billy Idol sort of said, have fun "dancing with yourselves.... Oh oh oh oh."

THE queue is fine and i join here to fight vs friends enemies because we dont have always the ability to go inhouses etc. SO we can queue at the same time and the matchmaking will decide what will happen mostly we like to be enemies.
1st match, our team completely been wiped by the opposite team, avg item lv are 3k-3.6k, but thanks to the class imbalance(piercing damage), my team losed and feel no difference solo q or not solo q....1000:400(around )
2nd match, well its batter, our team's gear and team class combination pattern are batter than the opposite team, but still lose due to the wrong cap node stategy, 1000:960
1 team have tank & healer while other team all dps, this team member allocate algorithm need to improve as well
I played about a dozen games today and I must say they were much more competitive than all the games I have played in the last 6 months. It was much more enjoyable. Looking forward to playing more pvp this weekend.
After the first games i can confirm what we said so far. It's a step in the right direction. Still few games are really balanced BUT comparing them with mized queue 3-4-5 men premades stomp, it's FAR BETTER. Even in games where you lose, or even lose badly, your team can still fight back some 9 times out of 10, which means you still have fun. It's not the case, as we all know, in the mexed queue where you meet BiS or near BiS partial or full premades. There's not even one bit of fight there, just insta gg. I don't see that here in solo queue.
Also: got my first head-to-head game IN MONTHS (!). My team started winning, then the enemy made a comeback in the end and won 1000-880 or so. We lost but it was FUN. And in mixed queue i didn't have a similar match in about 5 months or so.
Proves that adding the solo queue option indeed is a step in the right direction and makes PvP still way more enjoyable.
