That could be an Ambassador-class. Those suckers are hard to kill. And it does bear more than a passing similarity to the Galaxy if it's zipping by while you're busy doing something else.

Yeah, there's too little similarity to previous designs, especially the Odyssey, for these to be the new standard in Starfleet. I can guarantee that Tier 6 ships aren't out yet. Something like that would have caused a much greater uproar than one thread. Are you sure you're not just seeing the Daeinos? It's got a broadly similar silhouette to the new warbird.

Romulan? Plasma. Nukara? Tetryon. Dyson? Polaron. They may not be 100% identical, but they do the same base damage type and have very similar (if not identical) beam VFX for people who care about that.
