Why are people whining about the 1.5 billion price on the side market? Packs are currently going for 24.5 million. Calculate cost of packs at 300 Zen equals you need to buy 62 packs or 18,400 Zen or $184 us dollars. Maybe a bit more if the after market price rises. But surely for $200 us you are guaranteed to get one.

This was something I was suggesting last summer. With the Phoenix pack Cryptic's kind of doing what I thought about in this poll from back then. Looks like it is working as a dilithium sink.

I supplied the market with 100 packs this weekend at a steal for 28 million each. Hope a new ship found its way onto the market.

Why do people balk at the price sellers are asking? For those that missed the promo when it was on, the price was not much cheaper. Average selling price during the promo was 900 million ec. You can always buy promo packs and open them like most people. Someone has to open the packs for the ship to drop.

Yes the cost works out to be around $200 us dollars per ship when a key sale/Zen sale is on. More if it goes up in price and there are no sales. Probably $250 dollars us will be the top end cost. Obviously this is a lot more then an account wide unlocked cstore ships at $30 dollars us.

Why is it that people complain about other players setting the prices for the ships or packs? It was a Cryptic decision to make them extremely rare in the r&D packs. Cryptic set the tone for this situation, not the players. I have not been in game for a week or more, I don't even know the price of the packs on the exchange.

I did not know the bulwark got to 2 billion - wow. On percent terms I think the packs will increase the most as 2 billion is just to out of reach. Packs could go to 30 to 50 million easy.

Yeah I think those 1.5 billion requests were high, but in a week or 2? Guess it depends on how many have already been bought, how many are stored, and how many packs are still out there. Still in real dollar terms it's crazy for STO. Not EVE ship price crazy, but still crazy.

I think this needs to be made into a poll. Change apa to only buff weapons or leave as is buffing all abilities. Of course my vote would be to change it to just buffing Weapons.

$160 would have given you at least 140 keys. 140 x 5.4 million ec per key = about 1 billion ec. Enough to buy any ship in the lotto system.
