Should have read all the way to the bottom :) You ran into the same problem with Graga Mal TBR and front arc weapons as I did. I've had some fun with feedback pulse, but it kinda requires some +threat consoles for group content. For solo content you don't need that of course.
Does TBR + Graga work well with most of your firepower towards the front ? In my sci partgen build on Scryer I've specifically placed a torp in the rear to use TS3 against the targets being dragged behind me with TBG. Besides the obvious like upgrading the tac consoles you might want to look at the rommy impulse engine and…
I was planning to make mine into a drain build. Weapons: mix of protonic and dominion polarons beams cmd sci: tss1, he2, tyken's 2, energy syphon 3 lt sci: he1, ES1 or he1, tyken's 2 Depending on if I use 3 piece Breen set. Energy dissipator from Breen 3 piece is equivalent to ES3 lt eng: epts1, eptw2 lt uni/intel: at…
If you're going for a torp build, consider getting the Adapted MACO set (2 pieces) for the +25% torpedo damage bonus. Also the Rule 62 console from lobi crystals gives +11% projectile damage and will benefit both mines and torpedoes. Personally I use a torpedo boat with 2 fleet quantums and 1 breen cluster in front. With…
I fly the Aventine as a torpedo boat. 1 Aux DHC + 2 fleet quantums and aoe torps in the back (rommy, tricobalt, cluster) No weapon power, 130 aux power and use tachyon beams to drain shields. Having a blast with it and it's more effective than I had hoped. I have no experience in pvp, so this is only in pve :)
Hia, I play science ships as complete torpedo boats. Currently using the Tac Vesta and I'm only using the Aux DHC. That's because I use science boff skills (mostly tachyon beam) and tachyon beam from my advanced delta flyers to drain the shields of whatever I'm fighting. I'm also putting no power in weapons and max in Aux.…
I've had some problems with npc range as well. I notice that I slow down to keep firing quantums for a bit, then I go full speed, pass the mob and shoot my rear torpedoes. Since those have longer cooldowns I turn back around at about 9km and start the whole thing over again. By the time I turn around my tachyon beams are…
