I never got any of the promotional stuff offered in the C-Store either, and I never used the Wineskin or Playonmac during the downtime. (Tried but they didn't work.) Then I was hospitalized for a week. :|
Dear "helpful" people who keep suggesting Boot Camp and Parallels - we already know about them. The reason we're not using them is any of the following: we don't own copies of Windows, don't wish to deal with pirating it, don't want to install another OS on our computers, etc, etc. Stop. Go away. Thanks.
Yep, it's awesome how we're screwed out of participating in EVERYTHING right now. And I'm sure we'll get no compensation for it whether we're paid subscribers or not. I'm like the one person alive who actually enjoys duty officer weekends, too.
I was able to play for about an hour for 3 days in a row, and now it's back to crashing every 5-10 minutes again with no changes made. This continues to be beyond ridiculous.
I figured I'd drop this info here - I saw in another thread that someone had resolved their issue by turning AA off and putting their graphics to medium. I turned my graphics up to medium from their lowest settings (which is what I usually use because my vision stinks) and got to play for almost an hour before the game…
Agreed. This whole debacle has really killed my desire to play this game at all, and I played nearly every day all year except about a month during the summer when I was deathly ill. I've been in contact with my credit card company, like I said earlier in the thread, and if the game still doesn't work and I still can't get…
Yes, calling this 'discrimination' cheapens the concept of actual discrimination in the world. This is just exceptionally poor customer service in which a 'low-priority' group of customers are being largely ignored. It's worth talking about for sure, because that's a crappy business practice... But I can't imagine any Mac…
Tuesday will be 2 weeks since DR came out, if I remember correctly. At that point, if we don't have AT LEAST some kind of a real acknowledgement of these issues and even a vague ETA on a fix, I'm going to start proceedings with my credit card company to file for a refund of my LTS cost. I believe "failure to deliver…
Nah, I hear you. I've worked in IT and tech support myself, which is a primary reason I've refrained from name-calling, displays of overt rudeness towards specific individuals, etc. (The secondary reason being how, y'know, that stuff doesn't really accomplish much anyway.) But I've also worked in customer service long…
Exactly this. The fact that they've said nothing, responded to nothing, made no comment whatsoever except an off-hand tweet reply by someone who doesn't really matter that much in the grand scheme of things is the reason people are angry. And frankly, it's the reason we will continue to get angrier until we're…
I have the same issue with the workaround posted - nothing opens, even if I right-click and select open. I don't even see a process starting up, and the Wineskin.app won't open for me to fiddle with settings there - it just bounces in my dock for 20 minutes until it turns to "Not Responding." (Edit: Wineskin did…
"Hoping" "Soon" AKA We might get to play sometime early next year. At least someone finally acknowledged it as a thing rather than ignoring us entirely, though.
For me, it crashes even faster under CrossOver than just running the Mac client. I can't even get past the loading screen. Had to download the STO installer twice because it crashed mid-download. Then had to download the patch twice because the same thing happened.
I think I'm giving up on the livestreams after this debacle, TBH. I don't have an issue with RMC being single character but the fact that they flat out told us otherwise several times is just... Ugh. I know they got screwed on this too, but it really causes poor feelings between TPTB and the player base. But as far as the…
