Because someone handing the metrics decided that they make more money by getting people to pay for the ship to get the interior. That may be stupid to your point of view (and mine), but STO isn't profitable because they're making bad decisions at picking how exactly to gouge you for your $$$.

I am curious why some people (like myself) have experienced absolutely no crashes, and others are crashing all the time. And it's not ARC, at least it can't be entirely ARC, as I've used that myself (with no crashes). There needs to be a better way of determining the root causes of the crash.

I'm pretty happy with the looks and handling of the Qib, and frankly none of these Klingon ships fit the playstyle I like. As with Romulan, Scimtard is still superior, so not much point there. The Fed ships are nice enough, but I tend to agree with the OP that there's just not much need for them.
