Wait, so consoles got an updated feature "before" PC? 5 module slots and a separate passive frame slot was in place from the start. It's nice being able to mix and match as you wish - haven't had an issue with shared CDs, though it's only medic abilities I have a few of.
I just tested against the Crystalline Entity, seems like it has some sort of predetermined heading that the ship turns back to, no matter where I was facing when I started turning. However it's working it's not correct, and needs to be set back - it's making my life as a torpedo boat extremely irritating.
Seems to me it just turns back to where you were facing when you held down the button. It definitely needs to be changed back, the only thing to do at the moment is quickly stop turning, activate abilities, then turn again.
If anyone else runs into this bug, just wait a few minutes then try logging in again - you should end up in Sector Space. Continously logging in didn't work for me, you need to give some time for your character to be booted back to Sector Space after disconnecting.
Won't let me quote... Zooming function on PS4 is in the Captain's menu - Hold X, cycle camera distance. It's only going through 3 preset distances though. And thanks for the welcome...live long and prosper, Captains.
Playing through as Science myself - for general gameplay I think healing isn't a massive part of it (the other Captains will normally have plenty of healing for themselves anyway), it's more about controlling enemies and dealing damage through abilities rather than weapons. I'm not sure if there will be too much difference…
Thanks guys, this will all come in useful! I'm level 15 at the moment running Tachyon Beam 1 and Tyken's Rift 1, I know they won't be great with 40 Aux but gives a good Sci feel to my play. I might try Dual Beams, something a bit different to the usual Arrays.
Thanks for the advice, seems to be pretty straightforward. The only issue I see later is the Aux power setting on console is 50/25/25/100, where I'd prefer Wep and Shields to be swapped around with torps (unless people normally run with 25 Shields as Sci). Might need some power levels switching in combat as need be, unless…
It will also be on Netflix, outside of the U.S. There's definitely the cloaking sound there, whether or not it's that ship we don't know. I quite like it, looks like Starfleet taking some pointers from conflict with the Klingons.
