As someone else said...you just have to get on yourself and try it out. Different people have reasons to play the game, and opinions vary widely. Only you know for sure.
As usual, those who MUST use 'MOST EFFICIENT USE OF TIME' as their yardstick think the game sucks horribly, while the rest of us who don't feel the need to upgrade their ships past Mark XIII just laugh at those people and play on. Have a great day. Sorry, but I actually *like* the 'flat rate' on dilithium. Then I can go…
I'll believe your assertion as soon as you get me the logs from the server detailing player numbers and where they are. Oh, you don't have those? I don't either, but, then, I don't claim to speak for the majority, only claim that it *may* think differently from what the (again, 3% per Tacofangs) forum base does. As far as…
As Tacofangs noted, forum participation is only about 3% of player population. So, just because the 'forum majority' is having a cow, doesn't mean the population as a whole is. And the forum is not really a cross-section of players either. So, that's why Taco pointed out that if you really hate it, you can leave. When the…
Actually, that's a big misconception in MMOs. Usually, the forum population is less than 10%, often less than 5% of the playerbase. So, there is no 'speaking for the majority' on the forums. Did it ever occur to any of you that perhaps the reason they say it's been the best expansion ever for them is that it has been for…
By the way, if any of you can stop crying long enough to see through your tears: Doff assignments, which have been giving less than listed xp, are now giving more than listed xp.
Keep in mind that PWE is actually owned by a company in the PRC, and they really make the decisions, so, it's communists calling the shots, not capitalists. Oh, and the PRC's policy on dissent is prison or a bullet...
If the OP is so awesome, as he says he is...why isn't he doing elite, instead of slumming with the peasants in Advanced? i.e. don't put on airs if you're not doing Elite. And if you are, we'll just ignore you anyway if you act like an TRIBBLE.
This is something I've seen occasionally, but not at all consistently. I just shrug and repair. Sure, it's not supposed to happen, but sometimes it does, but, as long as it's a rare event, which it has been for me, then it's fine. I figure that if I can't duplicate the issue and it happens (for me) about once every 2-3…
This subject has been done to death in WoW, and every permutation to get rid of the true problems while protecting the innocent has had loopholes that could be abused by players. When they get it to the point it can't be abused by players, you also can't kick the people who need to be kicked. So, no, no votekick system…
Sorry, but, Investigate Officer Reports has been 960 for some time. I know, because a couple months ago on my Fed toons, 2500 of my usual daily dil was 1440 from doing a Foundry, usually Sword of the Kuvagh'Magh (spelling?) and 960 from Investigate Officer Reports. So, if it was nerfed from 1440, it wasn't done yesterday.
As long as Ancient Power Cells, Borg Neural Processors, Voth Cybernetic Implants, and Isomorphic Injectors are awarded only from Advanced and above, people who don't care how much DPS they do, and play the game because it's fun to them will queue for Advanced STFs. Simple as that. Don't bleme those people. They would never…
Oh, ffs. One night w/o mirror drop isn't going to kill anyone. You only need 14 days out of 21 anyway. How entitled can you get, kids? Seriously? They made a mistake, and they're fixing it immediately, as they should on something that could be exploited easily.
Better for them to take quick action and fix the too-high dil reward *before* anyone can exploit it to death and has to have dil removed. Missing one night shouldn't hurt anyone.
Or, don't use either one. I start the game by itself. If I buy zen, I just end up on the arc website, but I don't use arc itself except for the occasional code. You DO NOT have to run Arc to use STO. I have never used Steam for STO, but if it's like LOTRO, it doesn't check to see if steam is started, either. So, don't use…
I think they just want the discussion out here, not in their Release Notes thread, or in the other dev-started thread. I don't think they'll mind discussion in here, as long as it doesn't get into the stupid zone.
I have about the same experience on my engineer, with a purple tac boff and a purple science boff. I just pop my shield hardening ability, and perhaps a shield recharge when hit by that red beam, and otherwise just kill the mob using it. My boffs heal me and kill the enemy while I do my engi thing. Fights that I can take…
My son's playing just fine on a 3 year old iMac, running Mavericks, with an AMD vid card. I'm playing fine on a 5.5 year old Mac Pro as well, running Mavericks. (When I play it Mac-side) I do play it on Win 7 on my old Mac Pro, however, since the Mac client is simply crappy, graphics-wise. It's simply not set up right. I…
Yep. It's usually the people who scream the loudest for more difficulty who are the first to exploit their way around any new difficulty they get, just as in this case.
Actually, anyone who did a lot of stuff on elite, and got more than 10 points past 60, could have potentially lost points. The EP didn't really make this part clear: 5x skill points on elite was not intended. 2x was intended, so yesterday they fixed it. Should they have gotten it earlier? Sure. But, they didn't, so they're…
Yeah, I don't care if the guy was the top player of them all. No one is above the rules, and if he thinks that leveling 17 times the norm is something he should be allowed to do, then he's not really a 'top player' to me.
