This is very well stated. I'm a casual STO player and I'm intimidated to try a que I haven't tried before, or have not done in a while, even on normal difficulty. Some people can be not quite so nice to us types who aren't DPS hard core.
From the bottom of my heart, I profusely apologize to the STO Forum community and any moderators for necroing this thread. It was truly an accident and I am sorry! (Won't happen again!)
Yes! I'm totally on the same page here. I especially love the "TMP-era transition part"! I'm just a hopeless romantic when it comes to the Original Series, especially with Star Trek's gold 50th on the horizon.
Hi, I'm experiencing this issue, too. I thought it might have something to do with today's patch... but who knows? I hope the proper people at Cryptic are at least aware of this.
Hi, I also just played the mission 'Taris' two nights ago and found that the Reman ships were quite tough. Almost to the point where I wanted to quit. I just used the strategy of firing on the ships from a distance (but still in range) and I used Evasive Maneuvers as much as I could to evade the big volleys of plasma…
Dear Priority One, I want to thank you for doing such a tasteful, heartfelt, and thoughtful tribute to one of my childhood heroes... the immensely talented, generous, kind, and iconic Mr. Leonard Nimoy. Priority One (as always) continues to be a beacon of beautiful light in the vast Star Trek community! As I've always…
This! So much THIS! I'm totally on your side, but I have to question your statement "...very minimal amount of work". I have been following dev news and interviews constantly about this, and whenever the topic of interiors comes up, Tacofangs, Al Rivera and a few other notable Cryptic developers have said "It takes an…
Dear Captain Dennis, I've emailed you at the email address you've given. I look forward to hearing back from you when you've got a moment (I can also resend it). Thank you, sir!
Hi, I purchased the Galaxy Bundle and I am happier with it than I thought I would be. It's made STO so much fun, lately...and has let me recapture my 'ST:TNG' love affair.l I had much faith when I bought the Galaxy Bundle that the devs will get the graphical issues rectified, eventually. I still have that faith. Thank you…
Hi, This mission sounds fantastic... I can't wait! I am a big fan of the Foundry, and may I just say I believe Capt.PFDennis is one of the best Foundry authors and advocates we have (loved the 'Purity' series)! I'd like to know a way I could please possibly contact you CaptPFDennis. I'd love to share a treatment I've…
Hi, I know the chances of it happening are possibly not very good however, IMHO the talents of Mr. Shatner would be a wonderful addition to Star Trek Online. If it did my some miracle happen: According to Memory Alpha: "The entrance to the Nexus was a violent temporal energy ribbon which crossed through the galaxy every…
Hi, I am a HUGE FAN of the foundry and all the immensely talented, hard working authors... but I'm not a foundry author myself. I know this might be low on many Foundry authors 'wish lists' of tools, but what about the ability to add voices or audio clips? Some people are very talented impressionists or mimics... I think…
Hi, It's obvious you're pretty upset and disappointed at the current state of Star Trek Online, and where the priorities of the Cryptic team seem to be to make it grow and improve. You post here fairly often, so you still obviously care... but in all of your replies you're quite cynical, negative, sarcastic, and frustrated…
Hi, What about 'Planet of the Apes' as a MMORPG? My friends and I years ago developed a tabletop Role Playing game based on that universe...and it was a blast. We couldn't decide if we wanted to be astronauts, native humans being hunted, gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans or mutants. This was based in the original 20th…
Hi, Over the years... I really have come to love and appreciate 'Star Trek V: The Final Frontier'. The premise was very intriguing, and ambitious. As many have mentioned, the character of Sybok was interesting, and the film had many great moments between the characters. Not all the jokes worked and sometimes the dialogue…
I concur. This really is awesome stuff. The Star Trek Online Foundry is a rare and precious gem... great to see such a knowledgeable and talented dev such as Tacofangs lending his talents and feedback! May this new UGC Foundry Podcast broadcast long, and prosper!
I would really like to put a sash (also known as a baldric) on my female Federation Klingon Bridge Officer. I missed out when Cryptic made Worf's Klingon sash available for the 25th Anniversary of 'The Next Generation'... and as far as I know there's been nothing since.
