I don't have any beer swilling buddies, stripper banging buddies, like you obviously do. Mine are college-educated, hard-working professionals. But thanks for trying to, completely incorrectly, stereotype a Summa TRIBBLE Laud graduate healthcare professional, simply by the term "hardworking". And I guess the point of my…
Hey that's right "hawkman". I should just work, work, work, all the time. I mean somebody has to pay those taxes for the people who have all that GIANT TIME SINK on their hands. Maybe because I LOVE Star Trek. Maybe because I've watched every series and movie the genre's ever put out. Maybe because it is one of the few…
Agreed, my main source of Fleet marks is now gone as well. I hope the server lag issue isn't something that is going to keep the foundry down for days and days.
This is beyond belief. A Login que???? I logged out as the foundry was not working; now I'm sitting in a login que - The servers are full. Is this the end of STO???
As someone said previously, it probably does have something to do with the red "testing" message at the top of the forum. I guess we have to just "stand by" while the devs "implement a resolution"
It started with this message ingame when i tried to warp from one sector block to another. Then I logged out and it would not allow me to log back in saying the same message. Obviously this is a somewhat widespread issue judging by the additional posts.
I don't know, I've seen those zen survey offers. It smacks of those "Best Buy Gift Card" survey offers; half of which are scams, the other half place your email address on the marketing list from hell - or worse, a one way ticket to malware world. Besides, having to buy zen to convert to dilithium is a line I'd rather…
Exactly, and in the end that is what it really comes down to. Cryptic knows there is only so much grinding a group of people can ultimately take. Their actuaries have probably calculated the statistical percentage of group members likely to finally throw their hands up in the air and say,"f*** it, I'm just going to buy…
Well our fleet just lost one of our members today. It came as quite a shock, at least to me. Apparently the person is heading back to a former fleet(I don't know the fleet size he's going back to but It would be a safe bet to assume it is a larger one than ours). The shame is he was was an extremely congenial guy who…
cmdscarlet, thank you for your input & no offense taken at all in regard to using my thread(that's why I posted it). My only problem with it is the "fun" aspect to which you keep referring. As I pointed out in my last post, when end game is reached there are a only a few options. #1. Season 7 Reputation system....another…
I agree with the previous 2 posters.... It's time Cryptic starts focusing on new missions and content. Why does one need new ships(other than possibly PvP), has the STO universe gotten any more difficult in the past year?? There hasn't been a new enemy in years. Flying a "tier 6" ship in this static universe is like…
I wanted to thank everyone who has participated in this thread up to this point. There have been a number of excellent viewpoints and observations. What I have taken is that there are a myriad of different types of people from all walks of life who participate in STO mainly for their love of the genre. Each participant…
I already completed both tier 5 Romulan and Omega reps. The Romulan tiering was a joke(you never even had to set foot on Romulus to get to tier 5 - unless you wanted to see the cut-scenes) and I had a large Omega lock box storage to help with the Omega tiering. in either case the requirements for both were sane.
I hear what ur saying completely and understand, the tips and strategies are extremely helpful. The problem I often forget is that a fairly good percentage of the players in this game have, at least what would appear to me, a tremendous amount of free time to dedicate daily to STO. I , unfortunately, do not. If I get 1 to…
I understand...maybe they should retool the requirement structure. Make requirements based on the active fleet members(obviously with sensible minimums)
I see your point but we don't have a "small Fleet" in the sense it's just me and a couple of buddies. On the other hand, there aren't 200 + plus people in our fleet either. Not everyone is able to contribute every ounce of their dilithium either. A fleet with 80 members (20 of which regularly contribute what they can)…
I don't totally agree with you on #1 as , up until this point, we've been able to do quite well (we have a tier 4 starbase moving quickly to tier 5) I, however, am starting to see your point on #2.
I've noticed the exact same thing. The shuttle always comes up as the default ship regardless which ship is currently being used. As you noted, this is particularly annoying and a waste of time during damage fixes in an Elite space STF.
I did file a bug report... I was hoping to see if others were experiencing the same thing. I was on ESD(and it had never happened to me before there or anyplace else). I think this may have something to do with a previous thread topic from today in which the "player info card" is showing up blank. It appears to be working…
I just want to say thank you to the Devs from the bottom of my heart for actually listening to the myriad members of small to mid size fleets whose fleet projects/upgrades were decimated by the Season 7 change to Investigate officer reports. I must admit that since season 7, mainly due to the change in Investigate Officer…
P.S. my final, final word... already way ahead of you, I have tier 4 DOFF capability on diplomacy, science, engineering and soon to be exploration & development. Problem with this method is that it's THE SLOWEST method to gain FM of them all. You have to wait until you do enough Doff missions to exceed 110,000XP In one or…
