How does the shape of the vessel determine the best possible placement for weapons? In STO, firing arc is determined by the type of weapon, not the ship's class or shape. And..Engine wash? To be quite honest, Omega is kind of a less compact version of Epsilon as well. And I voted for Theta. :neutral:

I'm putting my money on Sigma. It has a nice compact design that really seems to "work". It feels like Trek. Why do you need a ship that's sprawled out in all directions in order to dispense fighters? Did you ever consider the possibility that Sigma might actually be a bit larger than Omega if it gets modeled?

I had to go with the classic look here - I'm not entirely sure what the designers were striving for with Epsilion, but I'm definitely not feeling it.

The thing I don't understand is why people are talking about size already - that is not what this round is about, and you can't tell size anyway because they are all the same size.

I chose Gamma - even though it looks a lot like the Akira class, the design seems well-balanced, unlike Delta.

A small vessel deploying any fighters at all doesn't seem to be as believable for me. I think they could scale up the deployment of fighters by vessel size. Beta looks less like a conventional ship and more of a practical design for a vessel made to haul fighters. I'm going with Beta. To me, Alpha looked too similar to the Prometheus and Intrepid designs - time for something different.

Mine is the USS Casey. As in General George Casey from M.A.C.O. Also in SecondLife, it's the name of a training bootcamp for the 'United Federation Starfleet Marines'. My captain, Sara Llewellyn, is a marine in that group.
