This should not be the answer to closing the game. They should fix the problem and not do anything about it. We the customer should have a working game which doesn't need us, the customer, to have to fix their bad coding. Have you noticed how they are ignoring this bug. I am getting this issue upon 90% of closing the game. I could have other programs running and it will close, I could then have the same programs running and it will crash. For the Hurq reward you have to complete Swarmer missions, NOT Advanced missions. A lot of people have hit this issue without realising it means basic missions and not advanced, which really should not matter at all.

A tracert would not tell you what the problem is when the program is not even connecting to the server as it did not at the time even leave my own network. I just got kicked and at the same time so did everybody I was talking to on Discored, I hope this isn't STO setting the standard of service which other games have been doing.
