Yea. I really need more clarity on this. I'm assuming / hoping they mean "you can't summon a set and then summon a second set and have both sets"; but even that starts to make some strange scenerios. You summoned 6, 2 die, you have 4. Can you *try* to summon again replacing the 4 you have? What if your DOff doesn't pop and…
A joined Trill has a total of +42 in space skills. That seems pretty signifigant. A Ferengi has -20% on gpl and EC vendors. You can actually make a living on that margin. Do I really need to discuss a Catain on the ground? But I'm all for choice... let's agree they should sell both. A career change token (who doesn't want…
In which case: eliminate skills all together as people will all setup this same generalized skillset. Except that the reality is that I am not. The reality is I like to make several ships of several types and then try to optimize those ships as much as I can (within my own trade-offs). So you may simply dismiss a…
I've been thinking. There's a fundamental disconnect between how STO is configured and how it is designed that is only being partially addressed in the skill revamp. There's a MMO standard that you get to choose some but not all of a set of skills. In sort, you make choices that differentiate and specialize your character.…
Speaking of unlock choices. Some are... useless to some builds. This isn't a problem with skills (don't take the skills that you don't need), but if I run down the tactical line in a beam boat with no hanger: I have an unlock choice [crid] or [crith] on torpedos (I have none) and "faster or tougher" on hangar pets (again,…
Sure. Let's try that. T6 ships. Mk XIV gear Elite Gear Fleet Gear Fleet Ships Purple DOffs. Stop using those things so you can prove they don't need a nerf. Either everything is the same, or some things are better. If everything is supposed to be the same (it's clearly not), then there's no game to really play. There's no…
This is not a post on the leech in particular, but on a statement made in general. I disagree with this sentiment. Allow me to explain why. You have two possibilities. 1) all items are equally useful. 2) some items are more useful than others. If you chose #1, then there's no meta game about equipping your ship. I can…
That's silly. I did the same work either way. I could wait until next winter. What difference does it make if I turn in at once or over time? It seems like the goal has always been to get me to spend more time. How is that now bad?
A great number of players have stated that they will disappear as soon as the event ends. Which which players should I believe? I believe your experience with the last event. I don't share your certainty that this event will be the same. I assume that some who work for PWE are on this board. I'm hoping one will chime in.…
That the events end is pretty self-evident. Do you have a reference for the shops and trainers? In-game chat has people going both ways and I can't find anything official. It's important because it lets us know whether to start one more day of training on the pest or not.
Dude, The in-game info gives a date/time of event end. It doesn't answer a single question I put above. Do the trainers disappear the moment the event ends or will they stick around for a while? Will the store disappear at the same time or later or never? Please *read* my post before responding.
