Even if it is just server maintenance, it wouldn't take Cryptic more than 30 secs to write and post patch note saying "7th Jan 2021: Server Maintenance." and that is it. So that way, we are all informed and updated on what's going on with STO.
Isn't that for Tuesday? Tuesday downtimes are known for server/system maintenance, while Thursday downtimes are something to do with the software/STO itself. Hence that's why some of us wondering why there is no patch on some of recent downtimes.

Isn't it better to extend the end time rather than moving start time to earlier? One can hope anyways - I do hope that next time, Cryptic will find it reasonable to issue 24 hours notice of any change on maintainence. Rather than issuing less than 12 hours notice or similar.
Thank you for sharing your tip on purchases of Zen and other things. That is good to know when you purchase something and if it didn't appear immediately, just try to reboot the game or wait for a hour or two hours to let ther servers register properly.
Thank you for your advices. It turns out to be technical glitch from the server. I logged back into the game a hour after I posted this issue, and I now can see discounts applies to my toons. Not sure why the servers didn't register and apply discounts promptly. The main thing is that I got discount at last. Thanks again…
PS before anyone asks - yes I did try to log out all the way (ie logging out and then exit the game, and then I reboot the game. No discount happened at all.
Thanks again. I found some higher calibre weapons on the Exchange. I just wondered that why I couldn't find any weapon that are "Admiral-grade" in anywhere including exchange and STO wiki didn't explain why so I asked that here to understand why.

If they extend it several times, why can't they take a hint? That they should cancel patch/changes and revert to previous version. So that they can fix the latest patch and ready it for next week instead? Otherwise they should reward us with some goodies as goodwill gesture for their delays.
