In fact the only time they used the Enterprise E model in First Contact was for the long, sweeping flyby shots. And most of Voyager was CGI as well. And all of Enterprise.
If it was on the store, I'd consider it. As it is, I'm happy with the Kelvin T6 Connie and while I like the original don't feel the need to have a T6 version of it in addition to the other one I have.
Basically they need to do this to protect their IP. The guidelines came out specifically because someone was threatening their IP. If it was anything but an existing IP, this wouldn't be a problem at all. It probably also would not have made as much money either.
I have to admit that I was surprised that when on advanced for the Battle of Procyon 5 that you didn't fail if the Enterprise-J basically gets destroyed. The only thing you lose is like 20 marks, if that. Kind of makes that a pointless objective.
I just paid the money and got one through key sales (and it's cheaper now than when I got it). I switch between it and the Temporal Dreadnaught depending on my mood. If your looking to just straight up kill things, the Temporal Dreadnaught seems to work better than the Kelvin Constitution. But the Kelvin Constitution is…
Yeah but it's the reason that the Kelvin Constitution and Vengeance are the size they are in STO. Not that, given the smaller skins we have for the Temporal ships, there's really a size excuse for not including a T6 version of either the original Constitution or Constitution Refit.
I don't think your understanding. The reason the official sizes are as large as they are is because of the shuttlebay scene. This scene caused them to upscale the ship overall in it's official length. Nothing else about the model was changed at all, and this stuck through all the new Trek movies. But the ship, despite the…
No matter what the model is, they upscaled the length so that they could have a larger shuttle bay. These larger sizes is what is considered the official size no matter what the actually model was designed for. Seriously, the entire size of the Enterprise in the new movies is driven by the fact that JJ didn't like the…
That's projection of force. ;) Not exploration for the sake of exploration. Not sure what the carrier is supposed to prove because it doesn't disagree with what I said. As far a court marshals go, that's a moot point. The same term could be used differently by a different type of organization in the future, which by all…
Ah, but Starfleet didn't start as a Military organization. Starfleet is more what would happen is NASA was given the duties of the USAF rather than USAF being given the duties of NASA without changing their overall mandates and main focus. Which is more of less what actually happened, they just had different names. Per the…
And none of what you said changes my point, and it shows a lack of understanding of what I wrote in the first place. Here's a simple question. Is Starfleet's primary mission the projection of Federation military power and defense of the Federation? If the answer is yes, then it's a military by today's standard. If the…
The US Navy is a military force primarily meant to defend the US and project US military power around the world. It also includes scientific research, supply shipment, etc. Starfleet is an exploration fleet primarily meant to explore the unknown and meet new species. It also includes defense of the Federation, projection…
A lot of people seem to be making the falacy of assuming that a defence force has to be a military organization. Now, as far as my opinion on this, Starfleet is not a military organization in the same way that the current militaries are. They are fleet, and they do follow naval traditions (not all of which are military),…
The UI doesn't bother me as much as just the overall redness. I have played a Klingon to higher levels, but I always hated the red everywhere. To be fair, I understand this colour scheme matches the show but I don't particularly like it there either. Doesn't mean I don't like Klingons, but I just can't get into playing…
The ship just looks bad. Yes it could grow on me but the ship looks like two different ships designed by two different species welded together because the originals were broken and the crews needed to work together to get home. Basically it looks like a bad kitbash.
That's a horrible looking ship. It makes me wonder two things, why did they base the design off of 40 year old concept art that was also horrible looking, and will the laziness that it seems to show to me also apply to the rest of the show? Certainly doesn't make me curious for the in universe reason for the horrible…
Not that I care about this, but not revealing the criteria is just going to lead to hurt feelings. As for me, there are other ships I'd rather get for free from PWE, but seeing as they are lock box ships the chances of that are extremely low.
I don't have it, but I've considered it every sale. Honestly, for me, it's your opinion on how long you think you'll continue playing the game and how long you think the game will last for.
