I have to agree, more or less, with the sentiment expressed in these posts. Whether or not the JHAS is the best escort in the game, IMO it's certainly not the best ship in the game. I have a JHAS on my main and rarely ever fly it. In PvP you're better off with a cruiser or science ship or carrier. In PvE the JHAS's biggest…
Thanks for all of the invites guys. My fleeties and I are swimming in fleet gear thanks to NoP and the NoP Public Service Channel. :) The Public Service Channel is dead! Long live the NoP Public Service Channel!
I'm no historian, but I believe there are real-life examples of violent, hegemonic societies that had farmers. TRIBBLE Germany had farmers, Imperial Japan had farmers--I'm sure there are others. Humanity has both conquerors and farmers. Is it so hard to believe that an alien culture might have the same breadth and…
Sorry, but I still don't see how anyone can genuinely argue that the console is OP: 2.5% of 200% means the console heals 5% of a warbird's DPS, on average. This means it is countered by an opponent doing 5% more DPS than that warbird. This is not an OP heal. Calling it a game-breaking god mode is really hyperbolic.
Any time you deal damage there is a 2.5% chance for a heal. It works with cannons and beams. Abilities like rapid fire increase your rate of fire and, therefore, increase the chance of a proc. However, no matter how you slice up your DPS, the console on average will heal 5% of the damage that you deal. The low proc chance…
Maybe I am missing something, but just looking at the numbers: A 2.5% chance to heal 200% means that on average the console heals 5% of damage dealt. So, if a given ship is equipped with a Valdore console, then for a ship with roughly equivalent DPS a passive counter is simply to deal 5% extra damage. This is about what…
