But I'm wondering, which weapons in which slots does it use when use the phaser lotus? If I have a 2 dual heavy cannons in the front and a phaser beam array and a dual phaser beam bank and three phaser turrets in the back, which ones does it use when I use the lotus, all the front weapons perhaps?

It doesn't say whether it is the RARE VERSION of the assignment which gets you the artifact. Remember there are two versions of it. A rare which is 20 hours and the other ones which are uncommon which are 20 hours. It does say that the mission gets you- so I'm guessing they mean any version.

It's not challenging at all. It doesn't require any skill to cross a border/zone, just time. Maybe you mean the omega drive or something then

I'm thinking any of them that give you a repeatable mission at the end to get a blue or purple doff as a reward are worth it.

25% yes, if they have both critical traits and the normal success profession.

Sometimes you get a strange alien artifact too. But they do take 20 hours to complete, the ones which take from 30 min to 3 hours to complete are faster. How many of the 20 hour ones can you run at a time? I'd think, given how slow it is, it would take quite a while for you to get every particle trace.

I thought specific doff assignment crits give you specific rare particles, for example scan data stream for exobiological data always gets you an anyon, that it's not 2 random type rares each time on a crit.

I know you get them when you crit on them, but I'm wondering which ones give which rares, since I need a steady supply of different ones for making consoles.

So, you don't care about DPS? I never heard of any plasma ship weapons in the Star Trek shows, but I'd use Plasma here.

Right now I'm not using any torpedos (or mines) just 4 disruptor dual heavy cannons, 2 disruptor turrets and a phaser relay. I should experiment a little with torpedos, just don't want to lose my current energy damage, but would for more DPS.

Is there one online somewhere? Where just for experimentation/to see what you'd get, you can plug in any consoles and weapons to see how much damage you'd do. Or maybe not, because it doesn't tell you how much damage your do based on what you have equipped, that you have to actually try it in the game to see

Yes, it is a typo. Anyone use tri-cobalt torps? I was thinking, just imagine an MK XII rare tricobalt torps with a +% console AND torpedo high yield III, 4 torpedos, that's like 36K damage, isn't it? Provided they all hit with the ship's shields down. Just make sure to be close to them so they don't get shot down.
