Are you using the Arc Launcher? If so, start the launcher (but not the game itself), go to options, and add -ArcOverlayEnable 0 to the Command Line section. This solved a similar problem I had. If you're not using the launcher... no idea...
I always thought it was a shame for the devs to spend all that time and effort to make something that unique, only to lock players out of it after a couple of hours of play...
I'd say it's as alive as most other games, it just seems to be suffering from a trend that seems to plague many MMOs I've played lately, they're full of people who want to be left alone. :/
I miss hanging out for hours with fleet mates, in a deep space encounter that would continuously respawn mobs. And being new enough to get excited at a blue drop...
I had wicked rubberbanding after the servers came up as well, but it disappeared later in the afternoon. I did notice, the instances were capped at 50 right after downtime, but later in the day they were capped at 20, so that might have helped.
It's a nice idea, from a player's perspective, but Cryptic would be losing a bundle from new ship sales. A lot of people would just buy they're favourite and keep it forever. There're things that benefit players, and things that benefit the company... guess which one has priority :*
Yeah, tutorial, 2 missions (though quite good), then Daniels kidnaps your butt... again!!! Then it's back to levelling up with the same missions as all your other toons over the last five or so years...
I haven't been playing as much as I used to, but I seem to recall any particular 'weekend event' didn't necessarily happen every weekend, so you may only see a specific event once every couple of months?
Been a while since I've done them on a new toon, but I think you need to run to each 'zone' on New Romulus, and access the transporter in each, before the missions will show up...
What puzzles me is, Feds have the Odyssey uniform, KDF gets the Bortasqu uniform, but the Rom's 'special' uniform is that of their 'enemy'? Considering what the Tal Shiar represents in-game, that's :/ But, yeah, it'd be nice to have all the pieces...
Got mine a few hours ago, it's a nice little ship. I will hand it to Cryptic, they may lack some of the bells and whistles of full-blown C-store ships, but their event ships are well worth getting.
Been a while since I've done that mission, but from what I've read elsewhere, Cryptic has become a member of the Screen Actors Guild, so a lot of non-SAG voices are being replaced.
What you might be looking for is "Follow Target" (I think it's called). With no target selected it will follow your ship, when you look around, once you move back to near the rear of your ship it will auto-center on it, and when you do target something, it will move the camera to keep the target in view.
I'm sure once Cryptic realizes how popular DSE's are becoming, they'll find a way to time-gate those as well. This game is becoming 'play what we say, not what you like'. My biggest issue with the queues is even when you have more than enough people, it doesn't pop right away, and someone always gets impatient and leaves,…
It is gone, and how recently did you do it? The update was just yesterday, which seems to be when it vanished, along with the red alerts. If you played it after the update, was it a pug, or private queue?
