  • My point was not to get hung up on scale. Complaining about scale in this game is like complaining about clipping in other games. It's going to happen and as things get more outlandish, happen alot. Could they fix it? Sure, but you'd then have alot of the environs turn into skyboxes with maybe only a couple elements…
  • Yeah, there's alot of scale issues not just with DS9 but the game as a whole. You have ESD as previously mentioned, but also the planets, some of the ships, nearly all of the flyable shuttles, most ship interiors, most station interiors, list goes on. Scale isn't something you want to be hung up on in this game, you will…
  • Miscommunication happens all the time with this game. I remember the first Mirror event for console stated the I.S.S. Stadi as a prize. Problem? The event predated the launch of Admiralty by a month or two so there was no means of actually obtaining the ship card. You had to appeal Support after Admiralty launched in order…
  • Worse still, the Bajoran warp/singularity core wasn't even packed with the ship (at least not on console) but rather as another reward beside it. I've been using it and never unpacked the Bajoran escort.
  • At least the laughing will last as long as it takes for said ship to in range and rain gold XIV death. This game doesn't really lend itself to ship elitism as much as Epic XIV elitism.
  • Set engines have the benefit of set bonuses. These engines are just fast. Further, they don't work well with a couple of the really good traits like Improved Pedal to the Metal. If you don't mind sacrificing all the Speed+ they can be made better, but then they stop being the fastest engines and become just engines.
  • Judging from the minimap, this looks like a small room. DS9 proper might not be as changed as anticipated.
  • The jail overlay is used on people that have been visited with admin mediation.
  • I've honestly found it weird that the Klingon and Romulans share the same beam-up call-outs while Federation and 23c, while both Federation, are different. I hope the Dominion have a unique call-out instead of also reusing the Klingon call-out.
  • While the free to play aspect has me playing regularly, if it wasn't for the S'ateth I think I'd have quit by now. The closest thing to a Star Destroyer in the game and, as an escort, able to mount the closest weapons to turbolasers to boot. Shame the alien creation options are as limited as they are.
  • Well, for me at least, it's obvious who has the weight in that discussion and it's not the actor. Scripts don't say what a character's life story is, just lines to be spoke and emotions to be inflected. Hence the old acting meme, "What's my motivation? What do I have to live for?" Meanwhile, those who write the scripts are…
  • It's basically what the subscription plan turned into. While sure, you can play for free, but if you subscribe as a VIP you get some nifty perks like free stipends of Zen and extra dilithium refinement! Even loads of other extras! Don't you want to stop playing for free? No? Me neither.
  • Well, one green ship. The first green Klingon ship was the Bird of Prey, which premiered in Search for Spock (and then given the honor of being the first atmospheric starship in Voyage Home). Subsequent ships in the TOS movies with the exception of Birds of Prey weren't green. Romulans would be the first to make green…
  • And before anyone says, "Well what about CBS, they don't make or maintain the game." why not look to see how well EA is doing with Star Wars. Just saying.
  • I think the Aquarius is meant to be an upgraded captain's yacht and that's not launchable from the Sovereign if I recall correctly. I mean, each new Enterprise is a one-up from the previous so it makes sense that the Enterprise F (?) would have a full size ship as it's 'captain's yacht'.
  • I'm such a player. I've done everything (outside PvP, I hate PvP in general so I've no desire to take part in it here) I can think of, gotten all the parts and upgrades I want for my ship while keeping in the theme I've given myself, so on, so forth. For me to 'play the game more' I'd need content. Missions, episodes,…
  • I can't help but think the people that keep calling for T6U/T7 are the same people who have more cash than brains and don't like sharing builds with 'plebians' whether or not said 'plebians' used the same sources of information they did and the same level of agency to get there. I for one think even the level cap increase…
  • I can't agree with this suggestion at all. And for all the reasons that's been given. Dilithium is how the premium economy is balanced. You shift that balance for even just a weekend (which isn't really a weekend, more half a week) multiplied by how many people would be taking advantage of the weekend and you've got…
  • While I can understand a little why you can't vanity weapon visuals (you can vanity everything else, so why not?) given that vanity weapon visuals would conceal what your ship is firing... I really would love being able to use disruptor green on my ships and use a different damage type. But till that day, I'll just keep to…
  • Why do you have so many?! Are you doing what I do with making TV and movie aliens?
  • Bridge officer weapons? Not that I know of, though the proton rifle from the Klingon War arc stows invisibly so you can have one officer appear to not have a weapon. Aside from that the only other way is to not equip them with a weapon. But that'd make them pretty useless.
  • I get the fervor for having Professor Hawking added to the Star Trek rolls, but the monuments have all been for people who have played memorable roles in the films and TV series, or have held long-time roles. People whose faces bring to mind not a real person but the role they played. We'll sooner remember the name Jean…
  • When I saw Discoprise I was fully expecting Temporal reputation visuals with every color of beam imaginable... all the effects were cool, though, I guess.
  • I use cannons on any ships I can't use dual heavy cannons on. Disruptors all to fit that sweet Imperial turbolaser theme. Still waiting for the Vorgon carrier on consoles so I can get my Super Star Destroyer on.
  • Zen is more an example of legal RMT; we give PWE our money, they give us an in-game item in the form of currency. Dilithium is the in-game currency given for free to maintain a certain level separation between free-to-play and pay-to-win. Cryptocurrency is neither of those things; it's a fake currency being paraded as real…
  • The exterior will likely not be touched. At least, ESD seems to still be ESD on the outside before and after the Iconians had their kegger all over it's facade. As for inside, if it is changed I'd prefer Bajoran sensibilities over Federation, and Cardassian over that. Screen accurate is highly likely, ESD got it's interior…
  • I think what's being discounted here is obsolescence. The Enterprise is the first christened flagship and the 'first' Odyssey is our Enterprise, but Enterprise is never the only advanced ship of it's period. The flagships always eventually get outclassed by 'lesser' ships. The Enterprise of past works was outclassed by a…
  • I'm having a different, if related, issue. I found it in Beta Quadrant, started it fine but then my away team officer went and broke the mission (bloody trigger finger that one)... and now I'm locked out of it till after the event ends...
  • The strappy overall is from a leveled Fleet K13.
