Those people should qualify for free financial advice since they spent 3 to 4 times more money in the long term than they needed to budget in the short term for a lifer. I mean hey, I'm paying Dell Financial a bunch more interest than I actually need to, but I don't think I deserve a prize for it. I know I've made bad life…
Here's a post I made in another thread. Are things just working completely differently for me since I didn't finish every 23c mission? Y'all can't replay anything? (I do agree Crey should be the proper in-game method. But since nobody told me I couldn't jump between centuries I have been happily doing it. ;) )
Every time I log in to the game I typically report one or more bugs. The only role I would actually volunteer for is proofreader. Because y'all have needed one for a few years now, and it's clearly not something anybody is paid to do. twitter.com/seekul/status/755545357652680704
Speaking as someone who ended up doing the 23c missions out of order, I have several unfinished ones, and it's a simple matter of paying the transwarp fee to go back to 23c space and ESD. I have no idea if it's intentional, but it couldn't be much easier. ;) Unless I'm mistaken, I didn't see any Andorian Female Engineering…
From what I can remember about the past bug reports I've submitted, the Fire Caverns had completely broken AI pathfinding. It was never possible for me to get my entire BOFF team through without manual waypoints. A welcome revamp. Carry on!
All the best Bran, I remember when you came in, and I think you're a model for community managers everywhere. (And also a pretty decent model. *whistles*) :D Since I have a very small and ageing immediate family, and no contact with my also-small extended family, I've never really thought about having to divert my life's…
This is partially correct. Fastcard is the middleman company between the retailers and the vendors. On the back of both an UltimateGameCard (UGC) AND Perfect World card (PW), there is the Fastcard logo. They just do it all. It would be nice for consumers if they did, but guess what, UGC probably brokered a deal that only…
You don't want those people. Some people only ask what can their fleet do for them, not what they can do for their fleet. Some people wouldn't buy 150 Mark I torpedoes if their life depended on it. Some people don't DOFF. Some people want to contribute, rather than just mooch off a stockpile of provisions with their…
As much as I want to "support" the idea of a free expansion (yay!) Legacy is out of my price range for the amount I play, and the Starter pack just wasn't appealing in any manner. As soon as I buy one ship I actually want, there's my support. ;) Chopsticks are futile. You will be eggsimilated.
You updated the wrapper, so all I can suggest is manually updating the Launcher too. Sometimes it can't update itself. http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=505501
Why are people posting S7 feedback in this thread? I guess because it's the only sticky currently on the forum. :D Anyway the Gateway looks pretty slick. Fonts look great. 3D renders look hot. Accolade medals look freakin' awesome and I bet STOwiki will be a prettier place because of it. There is a bug I…
I just saw that as well. Ditto on the left vs. right. My /bug report: Despite flying in Ship A (my escort), NPCs were addressing me with my Ship B name (my shuttle). The ship selection UI is not quite clear on what the radio buttons and confirmation button are actually doing for me, but I can see they're on the right track…
Indeed you can! Not everything of course, but here's a short list of things you can find on the exchange: DS9 Costume Pack Ferengi costume pieces C-Store environment suit costumes (saving up for a KDF myself) Mirror Universe ships All lockbox and Lobi ships & shuttles (all KDF players need a Widow in my opinion :D) Also…
The control panel says no animated GIFs. Though realistically, I agree. :o Almost guaranteed it would get crazy enough people would just switch them off.
Colouring looks great! Maybe remove the Stroke effect if you prefer not to change the antialiasing? That way it still looks sharp and high contrast. I just wanted a very small highlight edge at the bottom of the letters and Stroke isn't that fine tunable. Like I said I'm just going from memory without a screenshot. :) Also…
Yes I think the font smoothing change is only a factor with the specific effects I used, like a centered stroke outline. Otherwise some letters were getting muddy. Resizing the graphic to 500x125 seems to have worked out fine as well, but I didn't do a resharpen pass. I'll grab your new file when it's ready, thanks. Oh…
Thanks again for all this. I finally jumped in the old thread, and your prior Dropbox links are all offline now. That thread comes up higher in google searches, so linking it to this thread would help drive people to the newest version. Also I suggest throwing a colour gradient on the Fleet Name layer to correspond with…
Box sales as we consider them basically do not exist in Korea (70% of the figures in the previous quote). Even Starcraft has a sales model they don't really use outside of Asian markets. Cool! Speaking as an outsider who has followed Cryptic since CoH in 2004, I have to say your company has a reputation of always being a…
Yes, my advice is to read the other two popular threads in this forum. :) Basically if you download a replacement file, it will probably solve it. Otherwise, keep reading! http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=373291 http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=352481
Yep, helping a fleetie tonight and this was the final piece of the puzzle. For the record, this same issue occurred with the Cryptic website installer, AND the Steam installer. And just to be safe we opened the TCP port range 7000-7500. That should cover all the patch and client ports. Thanks very much! Never send one…
Because you can now buy an unlimited amount of DOFFs on demand for readily available Fleet Credits (exploitable), and the value of Zen on the dilithium exchange continues to crash (bad for business).
Do any of the current maps come anywhere close to approximating the size needed for a Dyson sphere? Or would the map exist on a slice of the sphere? There are some exploration maps where you can orbit an entire planet, but that's not big enough to "orbit" a star.
Hi Dan, can you confirm if new (original or licensed) music is in the works for Season 7? Have you ever considered a community contest to get new music into the game? The other day I beamed down to Starfleet Academy during the particle event, and was greeted with the "choral tension" battle music. Felt absolutely…
The best starbase defense and No Win's I've been on have at least 2 people who know how to use repulsors well. Seriously, in No Win some NPCs will park their ships square on the transport until they blow up.
I've been in the game for over 12 months now, and wanted to write up a whole post of everything I love about the game. But time is short, and my list is long. ;) I'm still playing and spending money after 12 months. I don't log in just to complain about the fact I logged in. I think that's enough of a vote of confidence. :D
That's the best you can do, as a customer. But as the poster above beat me to the sentiment, which bits they flip and which metrics go up for what you choose to buy is pretty incidental at this point. Saying "(PWE 15% bonus - yay me!)" is exactly what they're hoping for. They want you to ignore how strong dilithium…
