Can we get a No-XP-gain Token please?

A Device for shutting off XP gain would be nice, i would like to keep Chars at a certain level for fleet actions and foundry missions combined with roleplay (wihthout being absolutely underpowered in a miranda) and i bet there are many others who would like to do the same.

Advantages: possibly increased sales of mid-level Ships, extended midlevel "gaming-experience".
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
unfortunately:

NOT LOYAL ENOUGH!!!

Disadvantages: Demands for more mid-level content. :D

This sounds like a bad idea

This is a brilliant concept -- being able to stay at one particular tier or level seems like it could be very useful to role-players. This doesn't really cost cryptic much, and selling them could even lead to revenue... maybe they will consider it.

I have one caveat though; how does xp interact with fleet projects? Doesn't the same currency you use to level get contributed as 'expertise'? If so, then maybe make it a no-Level token instead, and allow the player to collect all the normal mission rewards, including experience, so that they can continue to contribute to their fleets.

Character Xp and Expertise are two different counts

And Id rather see a "rank lock" token
you just stop being promoted every couple of days and can stay a Captain
I mean really who here started playing because they fancied a desk job ??

It would be simpler to make advancement in rank only happen when you spend exp points. You could donate you exp points to your fleet instead of spending them on yourself forcing a rank promotion.

I leveled an admiral and never left sol system by doing nothing but academy lore missions- working as intended.

I would own a few of these if I could, for the purpose of the more simplistic low level pvp :)
Its fun, 'n I would definitely dedicate a couple characters to this area of gameplay.

Other RP-centric disadvantage: Demands for the ability to use higher-level ship skins without actually being said higher level. With customization.

They'd have to add low-level and mid-level copies of EVERY existing ship in the game to satisfy that demand. :P

Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.p3OEBPD6HU3QI.jpg
