I can now confirm that saucer separation is in fact what causes the clones to turn invisible. I've recorded a video where I'm using Black Alert with the saucer attached and the clone is perfectly visible (at 0:59). Then I use saucer separation (1:43) and the clones no longer show up from that point on. Probably an engine…
Oh, sorry. I was just talking to Cryptic. Or the mods. Or the forums or something. I didn't mean you, personally, when I moaned about the weird censorship. Sorry for the confusion! :)
Yeah, the message who won something in group loot has been all garbled like that since the latest update. It's not just in the Tholian red alert, either. EDIT: Looks like it's fixed now.
Bit of an awkward workaround, but have you tried saving loadouts for your ships? Whenever I change from one ship to another, I click on its loadout to restore it and all the items are there.
It's a bit hit and miss. Mostly miss, though. I usually jump waaaay past my target, even if I use the Lorca Maneuver from ~10km distance, then the target is right behind me and I just sit there for a while doing puny damage with my aft weapons, then there's a small chance I might TRIBBLE out some torpedos. Then I jump back…
People competing over who's got the *worst* gear and DPS. Now that's new! So far I didn't enjoy much of anything involving the Tzenkethi. Hurrdurr, we're nuking entire planets and we can't be bothered to explain why we're doing this, even though it would only take a second. Because "we're not open to diplomacy and we'd…
Weeeeell, maybe not the actual salvage, BUT - you can buy random crappy items off the exchange and salvage those. I went and bought a ton of random worthless MK XII items off the exchange for peanuts and each of them turned into 100-150 salvage. It's quite easy to obtain that way. Of course people may end up raising the…
That's probably the reason, then. Thanks! EDIT: I went the easy route and bought a bunch of super cheap MK XII stuff on the exchange for about 10k credits a pop, salvaged all of it until I had enough to re-engineer all my weapons and went to town. Salvaging a large amount of items is a huge pain, because you have to…
Maybe I'm just blind or stupid, but I can't actually find a context option to salvage stuff. All I see is upgrade and re-engineer and discard, but no salvage.
And if you die a lot, the problem isn't even that difficult to fix. Are you playing an elite STF and your respawn timer is constantly at 75 seconds? Perhaps it's time to practice the non-elite versions for a bit, get better gear, come back to elite when you feel more confident about your setup. Dying on regular STFs too…
Actually, if someone with a respawn timer of 75 seconds or more would leave my STF and play something else, I'd be grateful. :P Seriously though, people respawning over and over again, throwing themselves right back at the enemy without any clue whatsoever, only to blow up again in ten seconds... you'd think the increased…
Hmm... so it's a change to the whole "you can only win if you deal damage" routine. Interesting. I like that. :D Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond. :)
