Uh, excuse me for being clueless here but what exactly DOES the 'STO customer' want, what are we 'asking for' and what is cryptic delivering that makes you go 'we don't need this'? It seems like such a repeated quote that noone actually knows what the hell they're talking about anymore, what game-breaking terrible bugs…
What needs to happen is an MMO with combat similar to dark souls. Dark Souls has THE BEST sword/axe/etc. combat ive ever had the pleasure of playing with.
No. The problem with Hive Elite is that it is a super-massive spike in difficulty in a game that otherwise is TRIBBLE easy, combine this with the fact that it wasn't even worth playing as the rewards were largely the same as any other STF, and you have a very hard, very easy to avoid mission that (surprise surprise) gets…
Its cute to see these threads, and then see the people who seem to enjoy supporting the 'snobby good-for-nothing pvp ****lord' stereotype. The problem with this game is primarily the curve, not the difficulty curve necessarily, as this game is actually incredibly easy compared to other games, but its more the GEAR curve.…
The problem with the content seeming so short (despite the dev's best efforts) is that they're ignoring the one thing that usually makes an MMO last. PvP. Seriously, when you have an MMO that is literally only PvE with an unbalanced, high gear/skill barred, and horrendously unsupported PvP aspect, players are going to burn…
The biggest laugh on the state of this game's PvP is that the difference between surviving for 5 seconds and a full minute is literally 2 abilities and a stupid keybind. Seriously, without EPtS and TT you're going to be cleaned up so fast in PvP its pathetic, and does the game tell you this? NOPE! Plus, a keybind script…
The main problem with PvP, or at least the problems I experienced when I started a few months ago (and promptly quit) is this: Simply put, its far too much complexity far too quickly for any player to handle without help, and even if they get past that, the 'ladder' to actual PvP is insanely high. You go from shooting…
While this may be balanced in other games due to the downsides you listed, it has no place in this game, the reason is simple. These mines are a trump card, somewhat difficult to use yet if used correctly will likely completely destroy the enemy, while this sounds ok, the problem here is that STO has no trump cards, combat…
For some reason when using elite fleet shields instead of MACO I die far faster, its really confusing because by all accounts they should be helping me, it could be the innate constant 10% resist (that doesn't need to build, its always there, helps mitigate alphas better), the extra power I get when shot, I don't know.
Its reported that the klingon's elite fleet disruptors are currently the best weapon type in the game thanks to their amazing proc. The same is far from the truth for the feds, their elite fleet phasers are mediocre at best (I should know, my fleet unlocked them and I tested them) and the heals don't proc nearly enough nor…
This is the same problem with lockboxes, you people just aren't seeing it. This holding isn't purely about dilithium discounts, yes you get them (which is very nice) but look at what you get on the side for the price/grinding you're paying. 1. Incredibly nice fleet armor consoles 2. Really good fleet warp cores 3. More dil…
The difference between hack and exploit is pretty simple. A hack is something like an aimbot, you 'TRIBBLE' the game to provide you an advantage, you repurposed something using assets outside of the game environment. An exploit is gaining an advantage inside of the game environment using something like a glitch, a bug,…
Are you serious? This is about a change in some MMO mail system because people were using it as free storage. I mean if losing this obviously amazing method of storage is so terrible that it just ruins the game for you to the point where you need to write essays detailing logic and the nuances of arguments then you should…
Its a mission item, it doesn't do anything other than give you progress in the mission that you get it in. It should be gone the minute you finish, if not I'd just trash it as it has no value.
I think it may be one of those new hilariously overpowered romulan c-store consoles. Either that, or its an exploit (probably both) LoR messed with PvP pretty badly now that each team has cloakers, the romulan super consoles, the fed leech, and the new tholian rep passives (which basically make anything other than…
What are you smoking? NPCs drop more and better rewards than before (including STFs), not to mention you still get dilitihum, omega marks, and BNPs, there are also more ways to get dilithium than before. After the update Ive been rolling in ECs and I haven't even been farming. Also if you want items roll need on everything…
The problem with science is people don't seem to realize that if you need 3 of something, or someone tag-teaming with that something to be effective, then it isn't balanced. The classic argument of 'y do premdaes bring 3 ;)' because you need 3 science officers to be effective in premade pvp, science officers are completely…
The new trait increases your particle damage which infact increases the damage of most of the abilities you already mentioned, I know since I use TBRs buffed by the trait.
You can get that trait through tactical romulan officers obtainable from the fleet embassy, on all sides. However as I said they are tactical only, so a full crew of them would be impossible, not to mention they are fairly expensive. Also those traits are nice but not completely required to be a tacscort, trust me on this…
That would be terrible, mostly because you'd be completely shoehorned into a single weapon type in order to be effective in PvP. At least on the fed side the elite fleet phasers are terrible enough to justify using other energy types, but at present I see no reason not to use the klingon elite disruptors, they're just that…
It doesn't help seeing that the elachi are simply the most annoying enemy in the game, here are their abilities Ive counted up. 1. Weird shutdown torps that also reduce your shield's effectiveness 2. Their own version of viral matrix which is very effective at ****ing all of your systems. 3. Boarding party III 4. An uber…
Honestly Romulans as a fully fledged faction wasn't possible in the time-frame that they had, and the features you'd want for this full faction would have required not twice the work, but probably upwards of 4x to 6x the work, I don't know about you but I wouldn't have waited another 2 years for LoR, and suffered an even…
