Just to start things out, this is NOT a troll thread. This is simply a list of things the devs can put into the game to make it a more enjoyable experience. First, there is not a lot of end game content. I mean sure there are the task force missions but we need more. PvP is unbalanced and is the same every time you enter. There is not a whole lot of freedom in the so called "exploration". Please reply, I want to see what everyone else thinks. Thanks

Translation: I want to feel better about quitting and want other people to agree with me.
From me, you won't get any sympathy. I like the game for what it is. The only reason PvP is unabalanced is because I am an OP player. Any map I play on isn't fair for the other team.
Exploration could be better but that's what season 2 is all about. I reserve judgment until then on this topic. As for end-game content... I'm a roleplayer. I have plenty to do every day. I can see how a WoW kid might nto have anything to do. Gear here means nothing. Epics mean nothing. I like that. I don't play WoW for that very reason.
So, anytime someone says, "Lack of end game content," I immediately translate that as, "ZOMG NO 40 MAN RAIDS FOR PHAT LEWTZ?!!"
PVP in this game is skill based, not item based. If you're getting your TRIBBLE handed to you, it isn't because the game is unbalanced.
these topics have also been raised many times. end game does need more work and ideas such as user generated content, pvp sector blocks, more fleet actions, episode replay, more factions are all in the works or are being discussed. they also plan o keep rising the level cap with new missions in season 2 and beyond.
pvp also has balance issues, although a lot of it is often due to players joining a queue, then not accepting the invite because they are away from keyboard or in the middle of a mission they dont want to end. i have to say ive seen less problems recently but there does need to be an improvements made.
exploration missions are getting some attention and season 2 should see more diplomatic options, they also plan to revamp the look of the exploration clusters to make it feel more like exploration. this is one area i do hope they improve upon by adding more variety and making the missions more complex as they are too simple and can get dull and repetitive. I hope they make feel more like actual exploration of a new world or star system.
STO needs these things, badly.
lol that's some funny TRIBBLE.
Because you were unable to simply quit the game. Instead you felt compelled to come to the forums and violate the rules and guidelines so you could seek encouragement about your decision from complete strangers. And you knew in advance you were breaking the forum rules because the first thing you said was
I've always liked that .gif. I like this picture better, though, even if it doesn't really have too much to do with the topic:

I think this gets said almost as often as "in before lock". :P
Heh, the video in your signature always reminds me of this video:

"It's a FAAKE!"
"It's REAL!"
Second best thing I've read all day.
Disagree, only science ships have decent shields now, and that's understandable since well they are science ships. But if you run you escort properly.. meaning you escort the tanks... then your scores in PVP will continues to be massive in comparison. I routinely get 20 points and 2 deaths in PvP, I don't have mad skills, what I do is stay close to a Cruiser or Science ship and let them draw fire, then come on the side of whoever they are targeting and get the quick kills. No ship can stand up to be targeted by multiple enemies anymore.
Sure escorts are no longer the uber killers they used to be, now they have to be employed as part of an overall strategy, that's a good thing.

Disagree completely, going from being too powerful to not powerful has ruined the class. There should be a balance of shielding, I mean it is like I cannot take on anything player-wise in the game without help. I don't believe the this annoying little thing forcing me to cooperate with other random people is needed and it certainly is not wanted. An escort, sure is more manurable but that really makes little difference when your shields go down faster then anything else in the game. Tactical? I really do not want to work with other players and I like to do my own things. Also another thing, why are Klingon cruisers allowed to have cannons, that is completely rediculous and too much overkill.
I'm not so sure I'd agree with that.
Science vessels, as their name suggests, are dedicated to science and scientific research. As such, they generally wouldn't be going into combat situations on a regular basis. They're not intended for battle - at least, not outside of STO anyway.
This would be why the Grissom was so easily dispatched by a single torpedo from a scout-class Bird of Prey (B'rel).
And before anyone says it, I've already thought of it. LOL Yes, shield technology has moved on since the days of Genesis in the 23rd century, but if it's moved for science vessels, it's moved for other classes, too.
Yeah, but every Klingon ship is going to be built for combat. They're Klingons.
A Klingon garbage scow could probably have kicked the Grissom's stern. LOL
I roleplay so there is plenty to do every time I log in. I like making alts and different personalities, etc. so there is plenty to do every time I log in. I like pretending I'm a captain so I actually write Captain's Logs, and I like going and doing random exploration, so there is plenty to do every time I log in.
As you can figure out, I haven't quit :P
You know, RP is the only thing that'd keep me going in STO at this point, provided I could find an active RP fleet.
The "I'm a captain and this is my ship and crew" thing didn't last long in the face of doing the same things over and over. It just got so incredibly boring.
Nonsense, most all male bathhouses (atleast in Toronto) serve as a haven for TRIBBLE males, therefore, a woman could not go down in there. :P
My logic is sound.
I pretty much do the same thing, its quite entertaining. :P
Well I couldn't say "like a tai hooker" could I? XD
well not every gamer can be creative. gone are the days when you had to imagine what you are doing, and you had to make up your stories. gamers have changed, and not for the best.
That's just is, they are still powerful, when I PvP, the escorts still have the highest number of kill points. Just that escorts are vulnerable and need to act as part of a unit now. You have to cooperate with your team mates, whether you know them or not.
I can still hold my own to a stalemate with a science ship or a cruiser, flying around in a circle of death, when I get killed is when I don't notice the cruiser's escort coming in on my flank and shredding me with his cannons after the cruiser hits me with a debuff.
More like PEOPLE (in general) have changed and not for the best... not just gamers.
that's true. everyone is feed what we want to see. we have the Internet, games, and television to give us what we want now. it's something that humans are losing in my opinion. that is why I always have a book a read, and while I'm playing I make up a story for my crew. to keep the mind from getting dull.
And you know, that's the thing.
I can't speak for anyone else, but while I'm old I still have a highly active imagination. I started off with reading the mission texts, then building my own stories in my head around them.
But it simply got to the point that while I could build grand scenarios in my head about where I was going and what I was doing, the constant "kill X squadrons" or "scan X items" was like a torrent straight out of the Writer's Bloc (haha, Bloc. Get it? Yeah, I know. Moving on).
It just became too difficult to maintain the illusion in the face of abject repetitiveness.
