Never cared much for Intel myself, but Miracle Worker would have been a good alternative.
Well, it's a source of proton damage, of which we don't have that many. For those who own the Dyson's especially, it could be an interesting thing to add.
Based on the visuals, it might also be a fun thing to use in combination with one of the Nebula line consoles, the one that creates a tachyon detection grid.
Between the net itself preventing enemy ships from outrunning or shooting down targetable torps and the shield penetration in a free console, it should be popular enough to see a decent amount of use, especially with the F2P crowd, despite torpedoes being significantly less popular than cannon or beam based builds.
This should be a solid ship for use with beams or cannons. Using the Lt Commander science bridge officer slot for Photonic Officer 2 would make cooldown reduction easy and free. Am definitely going to get one
Well... the original was called a Dreadnought. And the NPCs were largely replaced with the Command Battlecruisers.
I honestly don't think it would hurt to make it command as the main spec, the previous command ships are years older now.
Seriously though, in the real world there wasn't a big size difference between dreads and battlecruisers. In fact, some of the bigger battlecruisers were about the same size as some of the smaller of the dreadnaughts, which is the situation the Typhoons have as the smallest of the 'supercapital' ships according to that announcement about them.
That's because "dreadnought" as really a sub-classification of "battleship" then really its own thing and also the matter of the vagueness between a fast battleship and battlecruiser.
But if i remember correctly, that was in the era where only the KDF had battlecruisers.
Not even the Galaxy-X was introduced back then.
Perhaps, but STO has rewriten itself over its lifetime. How many times has the Fed tutorial been revamped? The game today is almost unrecognizable to how it was at launch. Back then KDF technically started at lv 20 and I think was supposed to be the PvP faction while Fed was PvE.
It would be a nightmare to level up a KDF character nowadays if that was still the case.
Not at all. Playing with others who are also leveling up helps keep things simple and evenly matched. This makes gameplay healthy and engaging. It's just like queueing up for a normal difficulty TFO

At least torp spamming is slightly less trolling than mine layer builds that exceed the rendering object limit and cause NPCs to disappear. Usually.
How fast is a base turn rate of 9 ? The same as an Arbiter Battlecruiser so for me pleasantly quick for a larger ship and more than fast enough to support a cannon build.
Thank you. I look forward to trying it out!
The ship doesn't look like it has a very high turn rate, in my opinion. But if it's similar to the Arbiter, I too think that cannons can work out well.
Being full Temporal, it can kick up to a higher turnrate than the Arbitier if you press the Offensive Configuration mode button. On top of that, it has a higher than usual Impulse Modifier and Inertia rating for a Battlecrusier. Still not a high-end escort, but should do decently in fairly predictable PvE with dual cannons.
Personal preference aside, looking forward to getting her myself.
