I just noticed that the Halloween event items from previous years (Candle, cat charm ect) are in muds market.
Does this mean that they wont be in this years Halloween event as a reward?
Due to work commitments, I'm only able to get online to play a few months of the year, this is the first time I've been able to play around October for a long time, and I wasn't sure what the normal process is.
I've wanted the cat charm and candle for a while, but don't want to waste zen on them if they are going to be given out as rewards in October.
It is quite pointless asking on here about items from the past etc as players won't be able to answer any query you may have. With that said as the items you mentioned have appeared in Mudds Market I doubt they will be available my any other means (but I could be wrong) as rewards always differ from year to year. I feel it is a case of if you missed them during the event the only way to get your hands on them afterwards is when Mudd has them.

Thank you, but I don't feel it is 'quite pointless' as people may have had experience from the previous year, and year before that regarding the frequancy that the rewards appear in the Halloween event.
Players can't answer your question specifically, They can't answer your question. Players can only surmise based on past experiences. Things change from year to year. With DECA now in charge the stance on such items may of changed. It is always best to get the official word on things.

Yep that's why I asked people based on past experience...

Going by past history on all seasonal events... they don't recycle past event rewards into the next event. Honestly I think they should have put them into the Phoenix Store first, but Mudd Store does offer account unlock...

Phoenix store actually has a few things that are (or at least seem to be) account unlocks, like the Sompek stuff, but those seem to be the exceptions rather than the rule. Unfortunately, even with the biggest discounts of the previous years, nothing in Mudds is affordable for a lot of players.
I can't recall Cryptic repeating / recycling any event rewards since 2014 which I think was the last year where you could earn event ships from previous years. For the Winter 2014 event they introduced the account-wide unlocks for ships and let you earn both the new T6 Breen ship and the earlier T5 Breen ships.
Summer event tends to offer previous years' items (well, most of them). I was able to pick up the 2023 Risian Kit for a few of my toons, and the Terraformer Kit and associated modules for a couple others.

True, but those are shop items not free account unlocks. You've always needed to run 20 floater races for each per-character kit frame or kit, or farm a bunch of ornaments for the winter event store.
That's true. The perennial stuff tends to require a lot of farming during the events (or REALLY deep pockets offseason--that is, buying the various currencies, then using those to buy the seasonal items; please note this takes literally tens of millions of EC on average per seasonal item.)
