This video shows exactly what happens while I complete the Daily Progress event, Daily Patrol, & Personal Endeavors.

The server still disconnects from the program every five minutes. I've tried shutting the computer down, restarting it, resetting it, & adding more disk space to it; but nothing I've tried has fixed this problem at all. I don't understand what's wrong with your server.

I'm not an expert but I suspect 92% packet loss (at hop #6) isn't a particularly good sign.
Upon logging in - after several attempts - Netgraph displays a ping of up to 50k before it gives up and changes to zero.
My poor Jem'Hadar is stuck near a table on Drozana Station. Whenever I try to move him somewhere else he gets rubberbanded back.
Please look into it. TFOs for event progress are getting progressivly painful.
I'm having that right now, too. Having been afk for more than an hour I was logged out, then of course it took 5 attempts to get back into the game. (Account server connection timed out the first 4 attempts.) Since I'm in and trying to continue the uni endeavor at K-7, there are long "SNR"s up to 40 seconds each, teleport-like rubberbanding, doff assignments, names on things, action bar items (weapon and kit abilities) are not loading, each action like acknowledging a doff task takes about a minute to register, at this point it feels like I'm offline. This is how our characters might feel after dying! As a player though, this is entirely unusable.
I was just going to open up a thread about the horrible problems I have since a week with the connection to the STO-Server(s) and the resulting lag coming from it. But now look at that . I am not the only one and there are already at least 2 or 3 threads about it!!!
So, let me join in, too.
Like I already wrote, I also have the problem with horrible lag, because of a bad routing to the STO game servers. Here is a tracert I just did a few moments ago.

As you can see, the problem starts right at the *Boston1.level3.net* hop!!!
I have seen these spikes happening at that specific hop for at least the past 4 month !!!
It would be really great if someone with enough influence would do something about this mess. As it stands, the game is with this sort of connection nearly unplayable. And although I do have a LTA, I am still a customer who wants the company he is a customer of to provide a reasonable service!!!
Oh, and today there's a new one. When I do get to character select and try to log in it says problem transferring character and asks if I want a normal or safe login. And then can't connect to the login server on either choice, so still useless.
Then I actually get into my character, take 2 steps and... server not responding. Lovely.
Might be useful to know where you are, time zone etc as it doesn't look to be wide spread. Have you tried clearing your cache. Running a trace. doing a dns flush. restaerted you router. Cos it seems to be only happening to a few players so it might be your isp. have you contacted them to see if there is any issues with your service.
As far as I can tell, most of the players who do have problems are located in Europe. It seems as if the *normal* routing pathway from europe leads through this "Boston1.Level3.net" hub, which is causing all of this !
What I can say is that, changing the settings inside the STO-Launcher so that a proxy connection from the EU is used did help a bit, at least for now. The connection is still a bit laggy and touchy, but at least I don't need 5-8 tries to log into STO and I am not dc'ed because of *connection timed out* .
I'm in Europe. UK to be precise. I have NO lag NO server connection issues NO rubber banding. for me everything is sweet. TBH I can't remember the last time I experienced issues.
Everything runs reasonably well until packets are supposed to hop from DTAG to "Level3". Level3 is Lumen, a US network provider. It looks like the hop before "bear2" already belonging to level3 - which would put the blame on them. On the other hand DTAG is said to be notorious for their [beep] peering performance, so it could be them as well.
I could be wrong though. If anyone is willing to provide some expert tea leaves pathping reading, I'd appreciate it.
I didn't change anything and everything works today. Every character connects first try and while I have a ten second ping with heavy rubberbanding upon changing characters - after a minute or so it's down to 150ms to 200ms.

Now an absolute new low has been reached for connections from germany to the STO server(s)!!!
Neither the primary connection NOR one of the two proxies is working!!!!!
With US and EU proxy the launcher is telling me *can not connect to server* and with the primary connection path the game tells me after character selction - "connection to login server timed out".!!!
The primary server connection going over 14 (!) hops is a joke, sorry!!!
The eu-proxy one is more or less okay, excpet the hops with major packet losses!!!
Yet no one does anything at all to fix the problem.
have you tried clearing your cache, closed any background task that may also be running, have you tried a hard reset of your router. also flush your dns.
I've tried everything. I've exhausted all possible solutions. Nothing has fixed the problem, & I've absolutely no idea why.
I'm afraid it's up to the "Star Trek: Online" personnel.
