I'm wondering what happens if you use the instant warp core breach thing from the world razer when the digitize trait (the one that turns enemies into torpedoes) is active? They said on the stream that turning enemies into torpedoes doesn't trigger warp core breaches.
Also curious about its interaction with the dark matter torpedo for the same reasons.
As for my opinion: I think they're being a bit crazy with releasing all these huge ships. I get that some people like flying a big ship, but what about those who like flying a 'normal' ship?
There used to be a time when a Star Cruiser or Sovereign was big. Now they're flying ants.
The design looks cool though, I'll admit that. I've even already got a toon for it, who was based on Warframe's process of Synthesis (i.e., reducing beings of physical matter to information).
Thus far she was flying a S31 ship as she was its eh... Visionary case manager for this phenomenon, now there's something that will fit the theme even better.
I hope the phasers won't look like phasers but like something else entirely, cause then I'll have an excuse not to replace all my weapons across my two dozen phaser using toons or so.
I'm probably gonna have to wait until next years event campaign to get it, but the World Razer has been at the top of my list of "ships I want" ever since I first saw the painting of it in the Picard S2 trailer, so I'm VERY excited for that one. I'm a little surprised it doesn't have any hangar bays though considering the massive hangar doors on the secondary hull where the deflector normally is.
As for the "Baby V'Ger" ship ... TMP imo is the single worst Trek movie ever made, and not much better than awful episodes like Threshold, so I'm not excited about it at all. Thomas mentioned that you'll be able to change the color of the lightning in the ship tailor though, if red or orange is an option then I might name it Eye of Sauron (or as close as the name filter will allow) and use it in a queue or two, but that's it.
Not feeling great. The pets look interesting but given the devs very poor track record with pets and carriers over the past 2 years I don't hold out much hope. Hopefully I am wrong.
I expect like recent content this with be graphically very well deigned ships let down by poor function/poor gameplay design.

I would predict... hilarity for a while. Also large targets like Cubes also Core Breach despite being vaporized. I see it all the time when using Dark Matter Torps against cubes. They fizzle out, see some small explosions, than the big core breach and we have debris. But only with Cubes, both regular and Tac.
The ship looks interesting enough, I don't have time to sit through an hour-long video right now to get whatever they say about its stats though. Looking forward to trying it out.
This mini V'ger and all the toys are going to be my favorite things EVER! I've always loved the Omega torpedo for a reason (even though its pretty awful these days as a weapon sadly, but now I have new options!), I love erasing my foes from existence and DENYING them their notion of going out with a glorious bang :P Also, so glad this is a science ship, I can't wait to fly this beauty!
Still waiting for it to show up on the ARC News Page so I can actually see it.
Same... No idea why this TRIBBLE is kept secret from the forums AFTER they've been released on a livestream... I read somewhere that ppl were told NOT to post them on the forums...
Anyway, the only one I'll want will be the one of the two that is NOT free and shoved in a lockbox... Ugh...

I wouldn't assume that we won't get any Alliance ships anymore, it's clear from the Ten Forward stream they were gonna make this as boss mob anyway so it they decided to give to players as well.
World Razer is interesting. Finally a Commander Tac, 5/3 weapon, 5 Tac console (and 3 of each of Sci and Eng) on a two-nacelle Galaxy frame. However, it's theme-based Temporal Tac Primary with Command Lt. Comm. doesn't really go along with a TNG style build (Fire at Will beams + one or two torp) --or the scene depicted in the painting for that matter-- as well as other Juggernaughts can do. I wasn't expecting Vaadwaur Jugg levels of beams DPS, but was hoping for more than this. Maybe if it gets cheap on the Exchange, but I don't know how likely that is.
Compiler Science Dreadnought is large, as wide as a Enterprise-J! I might grind it out just for that, as I like big ships and I cannot lie. Specs wise, I'm never quite sure what I want to do with a Science Dreadnought. Maybe just use it as a SciTorp ship with the extra weapon for completing a set bonus or just having an extra torp forward if using slower reloading science torps (like Neutronic). Maybe try to use it as both a Sci ship and Weapon ship, with Bellum consoles in Science for more crits to help out the weapons, Locators in Tac consoles (yet more crit hit + weapon damage boost), then what little Eng consoles left for Universal consoles that can help both, or just boost up Sci. It feels like there should be an interesting build in there that's still pretty good, but I'm not finding it in today's STO. Only having 4/3 without a Experimental Weapon leaves it a bit lacking in energy weapon DPS, if i would to go fully into that. Edit to add: The SciTorp works absolutely fine on a SciDread, it's just every time I lean much into the weapons that build performs way less than the regular old SciTorp build. If I'm just running something I could run on any Sci ship, why put up with the slowness of the average SciDread (this one is supposed to be slow too, according to what they said on stream) for one extra weapon versus a Sci ship I can get places to shoot more things?

What?! You really think that they are just going to drop the ball on the cool Alliance storyline that they haven’t even developed at all for the last year? I’m being sarcastic. That is exactly what happened. The Alliance concept was pretty much DOA. Another dangling thread in the tapestry of STO….
I read somewhere that ppl were told NOT to post them on the forums...
@crm14916 that only applies to things they unintentionally leak on stream by accident. Nothing like that happened this week, but a couple months ago there was a pretty big one.

They were probably confusing these ships with the ships that are assumed to be put in the new Anniversary pack. Something about those leaked a while back too and they haven't been announced yet.
Over in the other thread someone mentioned that the devs prefer we didn't talk about that leak.
The folks who designed it did a great job... The V'ger ship looks weird, but you know exactly where it comes from. It looks like a very fun ship... World Razer in my mind doesn't look sinister enough for some reason also I imagined it with spikes on the saucer section from the painting but considering it was made from a painting bloody well done.
The mini-V-Ger will without a doubt attract followers with its Ent-J size and visuals, but i do not count myself among them,
I'll get the ship, grab the trait and then most likely remove it from my inventory which is remarkable for a science dreadnought.
To any developers who read this: it is not too late to make the alternate Ent-D (was it the world breaker?) the event ship and put the baby V-Ger in the lockbox.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I am a very happy girl right now.
Free ships are free ships. Thumbs up for that.
