Yep, I had that same issue on one of my Loadouts. The Breen Omni was dumped out of the ship into my Overflow Bag without being overflowed either.

Man this patch really got some issues that needs to be ironed out. Meanwhile fleet donation still have problems but wont be fixed til next year. The cat and the omni tho, got changed faster than you can say "nyah"

I'm experiencing massive lag, rubber-banding, disconnects and timeouts during reconnect-attempts since yesterday patch. (I'm a lifetime subscriber with preferred login, so busy servers never affected my login)
It gets better after a while, but on switching characters it starts all over again.
Asking in chat, other players are also affected, so probably not may ISP.
From the responses I got the problem seems to be limited to central Europe, and started right after the patch.
Could be a server in that region. Maybe you can look into that.

The Breen omni does considerably less damage than any other omni, more like that of a turret. There was a lot of speculation that maybe it was not limited because it was functionally a turret with beam VFX, which is not a bad thing for people who want to run two sets that use omnis or just want a pure forward-oriented beam ship.

Why are we all so surprised by this? You get to have up to 3 omni's in your build - the KCB, one that's part of a set, and one that isn't. Given both of the above are part of a set, you can only have one of them equipped.
And the Morphogenic Polaron weapon acts as an Omni-Beam and as a Turret.
