Yay! An event mission that did not count as doing the event. But if you bothered to read about it at Fandom.com instead of on Arcgames.com, you would know that. How silly of me to not read a third party website. I also would never have noticed that the mission didn't count by the placement of it's queue button right in the middle of the other two missions, not to mention getting the daily rewards, filling the daily progress bar, AND winning the event rewards for it (which did not unlock account wide because... well, it didn't count even though it did kind of count a little bit on something but not THE thing).

"Alternatively, if battling robot-zombies isn’t your cup of Earl Grey, you can participate in the good ‘ole Phoenix Rocket Launch competition. We hope you enjoy the friendly rivalry as you scramble to gather parts and assemble the best rocket under the watchful eye of enormous marble Dr. Cochrane himself."

Maybe you can make a future event called "Guess which of these buttons actually count and if your progress bar is really a progress bar" Event.
Wow. There is a new KDF Science ship. I'll be!

I'm not really following this rant, are you saying you did a different mission than the model rocket launch for two weeks, received no first contact event progress, and never noticed that until now?

I did the event. I got daily progress. I got the daily rewards. I got the event grand prize. What I didn't get was 700 points in the Event Campaign because that mission did not count even though it took up your counting spot on event timeline daily. gave you the rewards daily, put your events on a 20 hour cooldown daily and had its button placed right between the two events that did count. Was in no way conspicuous that it was not counting for anything nor was it conspicuously separated from the actual event missions.

None of the activities in that event counted for the event campaign, they were never supposed to in the first place. Not every event is part of the campaign (in fact only two events so far this year have been part of the campaign: Borg Resurgence, and Reflelctions of Empire) and the next one has not been announced yet.

So far every event that has been part of a campaign has had that fact included in its announcement (which, admittedly, is kind of surprising considering the laughable proofreading they have).

Then I stand corrected. You actually made sense, a lot more sense than that the model rocket event did not count. Thank you.

It's an easy mistake to make.

I must admit that despite playing since 2012 I was wondering on the first day of the Anniversary event why I wasn't getting event campaign progess for doing the Anniversary daily. Then the light bulb went off. Ohhh, right. It's not part of the campagin.

It would be awesome if they could let us have those colored backpacks as uniform accessories.

Even better if they found a way to make those Toy Rockets account unlocks for all of your characters. I finished the daily events, but found out that ONLY ONE of my characters (my KDF Delta Recruit) was the only one that got the Toy Rocket, and the Toy Rocket does not show up in the Reclaim Rewards.

I've seen discussions from last year that they "had plans to fix this at a later date." Well, it's already been a year since those discussions, and nothing's been done about it yet.

Question: the event rewards are the A600 combat android, the Toy Rocket, the Phoenix Shuttle Holo-Projector, and a Captain's Token. The only reward I see under the Reclaim is the A600 combat android. What other rewards from this event are supposed to be in the reclaim?

The problem is the rocket was not initially an account-wide unlock only per-character. They changed it last year because a lot of people complained that the initial blog said they would be account-unlocked. It looks like it may still be bugged for you. I honestly have never been interested in it enough to try it, but I think I have seen it available for most of my characters. It is under the miscellaneous tab not the ground tab.

Oh and to answer your question. I am pretty sure the other rewards are per character and working as intended.

So it's just the toy rocket that's supposed to be reclaimable (aside from the A600 synth)?

Yes, the boosts have never been reclaimable, they always go to the character you are on when you push the event claim button itself, though they are usually transferrable via the account bank (you have to be careful about that though, a few times they have been bugged and unpack themselves immediately instead of being bankable).
