cryptic et al:
your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to correct the following bug(s) within 45 working days:
started 2018 and updated recently:

since Sep 2021:

within the past few days:
https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline#/discussion/1265735/new-terran-uniform-bugs
for this repetitive event, one bug will be submitted at 45 working day intervals. if you complete the current task under that time frame, no other action is taken and you can enjoy the time off from bug fixing.
if within that time frame, you find you need to extend, just advise, and provide an acceptable and professional reason, and extension should be granted if needed.
if a bug cannot be fixed due to coding issue(s)/lack of persons knowledgeable about it, just be honest with us. however, if this also effects what people/players have available to them, but cant use or cant be fixed (i.e. ToS interior), then also be forthright and offer a counter to those effected to make amends. (meaning, dont ignore people, admit it, make it right, and move on)
i dont think this is a difficult mission, and am open to negotiations on timetables etc, should you desire to interact with us here on the forums.
this mission can only self destruct if modded and removed from the forums...

I reported this issue since the first set of Terran Odyssey Outfits were released in 2016, via ingame bug report. The only answer I ever got via email was a generic answer to post the bug report again in the forums, so other players can comment on it, which I did multiple times back in 2016 and 2018 and again now because not only the old bugs aren't fixed but also the new 12th Anniversary Terran Outfits are bugged as well.

I recently edited the subject of those threads to a more common one, so they might gain better recognition, but even in the last patches the bugs were not fixed and there is even no word from developers in any form, that those bugs are worked on, even though your Systems Designer Jeremy Randall and Community Manager Mike Fatum confirmed in one of the last Ten Forward Weekly, that they know about the bugs, and it is because somebody forgot to add those outfits to a specific species. So I started to escalate this issue a bit more via my Twitter (below), which is normally not my style to make a big wave out of it, but I saw no other way to get you to recognize how wrong you treat your customers and potential customers.
Cryptic, if you don't change your paradigm about quality of premium content, you will loose customers.
I hope Gearbox knows what company they purchased and get you guys up to pace again.
I find it insulting to charge over 175 bucks (125 discounted) for an exclusive costume option, which only has a few more usable outfit pieces and some of them are even bugged. We don't pay your extra labour you have to do because your code is so bad that you need to do everything manually. We pay for what we get, and if it is broken you don't get money!
Frankly I wouldn't mind if you would offer an optional monthly fee, like a "Gold Subscription Model" to secure you a more constant influx of funding and hire more artists and developers to pull your sh*t straight again.
Also releasing the ships separately but the costumes not is a very wrong approach. Please consider releasing ALL outfits (including previously exclusive ones) individually on Mudd's Market, and make sure to treat them as premium content, so the quality is assured across all playable species. This way we could pay you for making individual costume pieces and make them in a better quality.
The Mirror uniform of the bundle is such a trainwreck it'd be hilarious if it wasn't so expensive.
Outside of the obvious, notice the bent rubber dagger of the badge.
That one seems more like a bunch of different bugs with similar results. One of them goes away, they change something, it comes back as a side effect.
Gear stripping was fun too. I remember going into a TFO and I suddenly had no weapons, shields or engine. Exciting.
Recently, it made me wonder if the Wild Weasel was bugged, since I equipped it and went to test it, only to realize the Wild Weasel wouldn't appear, and then realize it reinitialized to the previous loadout save for hell-knows-why reasons.
At least it reverted to a build that was usable to its fullest though from the sounds of it. I've had gear swapped over from my shuttle, giving me mixed energy types. Not recently though, but was annoying.

Awful Good times.
More likely, it's a corrupt database read/check (IE - it can't verify the integrity of what it's seeing/reading) - and the error results in code that resets the local character database that the error occurred for back to its 'default'/'base' settings.

The entire backend network cose of this MMO is a dumpster fire. The Zone load times are sometimes insanely long; or juist TRIBBLE out altogether. You can even see this horrible network backend display in Cryptic's weekly twitch livestreams.
When you have performance like that on Public display, and it seems to raise no read flags in the Dev Programmer (or if it does, management effectively ignores the Programming team if they ever bring it up), just shows how LOW a priority Cryptic management places on overall game performance.
And it's nothing new - it's been that way since Oct. 2009 in closed beta, and I've NEVER seen it really addressed. If that's a 'feature' of Cryptic's engine, it's a BAD one.

I was happy paying monthly, as I could dump and run as and when, if I buy a LTS I'd feel the good old sunk cost fallacy and I'd be here griping even more.
They cut away Memory Alpha and now the whole R&D happens in a boring user interface.
They also didn't release many newer ships with canon or bespoke ship interiors. I still fly my Risian Corvette T5 and upgraded it because it has a nice selection of interiors and the T6 has not. I don't want yet another T6 ship while Cryptic doesn't come up with more story based content, cut the foundry and even deprive us the option of emergent RP, because the ship interiors and character outfits are broken.
TFO's are usually over before the last player exits the loading screen. Feature Episodes were cut to streamline the flow, so you get faster from Action to Action with less possibilities for exploration and choice and consequence. So they basically took the essential core of an adventure and threw it away.
And that was all about what they cut away from the game what existed before. I am not even talking about stuff they could implement and draw much more players in.
I would love to see if the would let us position and move our admirality ships strategically on the sector map to take and defend certain sectors like in "Master of Orion" or "Stellaris", and send DOFFs on away missions also using the sector or system or even planetary map like in the game "Star Trek - Away Team".
Also I would love to see player housing, so that I could basically settle on a planet or moon, grow my own crops and sell them to other players as "consumable substances that increase certain stats", and decorate my cottage using stuff I found on missions, like in other space MMO games.
So outfits and interiors are not fluff, they are currently THE endgame content and they should get it right, as long as they don't have other reasonable engame content! Yet another Pew-Pew mission is not Endgame! That's bread and butter. The outfits and interiors are the sweet spread, that makes it not taste like wet cardboard!
Anything more regarding the Foundry... please refer to FCT section 24.

Pretty much covers EVERYTHING.

When was the last expansion type story arc that spanned 10 to 15 missions? And by that I don't even mean to add new gameplay mechanics. Just get a writer to write the story and a level designer to make the missions reusing assets we have. There was nothing. In Years. - Ok there was something like 4 missions a year, but "more frequent content drops" we got promised, sure looks different.
Players like me who maxxed everything and don't like to start yet another recruit, have problems to find interesting endgame content except for the Space Barbie stuff. And we are excited because we finally can go down into the shuttle bay of Earth Spacedock or a back alley on Qonos. Yeay. Added Content!
I am so hyped for the new modular 24c interior kit, which is currently only intended for mission locations but Ambassador Kael tries to push it to be used as Player Bridges as well. Also Donny Versiga did a new bridge for the 24c and Nick Duguid is now working on the new Odyssey bridge revamp, as you can watch on his twitch stream (his name is "tumerboy"). This is content in the works in the background and we need stuff like this urgently.
> I understand that it was a necessary move to cut it, but there was a promise to release more frequent content drops, which didn't happen.
Do you have a source on that 'promise'? Because the reason the devs stopped interacting with the forum is that everything they said was mistaken or weirdly twisted to be 'promises' of things that never were.

Seriously, what do you expect? You post this in the forums and not even in the big report forum. This here is a forum discussion that most likely is only read by other users because this isn't even the way to contact anyone you wish to address. There is no chance you get a reply by anyone at Cryptic in this topic and you knew this going in because you are not new here. In addition, all of this reads like some kind of ultimatum or negotiation. You are in no position for either of those. I'm not trying to be dismissive, but this is not how this works.
