Tried doing smoke and mirrors 3 times, each time (on the ground)
the enemy medics can not be killed. you bring them to zero hp and after a second it just quickly regens back.
No amount of damage or abilities can end the fight, it just goes on forever.
Destroying the med generators also does nothing. you bust them all and
the medics are still un-killable.

We'll need some more information, including which platform you are playing on. And this does sound like a bug report so... would you like this thread moved to the appropriate section as well?
Platform, PC
Faction, Klingon
Character rank 1st tier (warrior)
Repeatable, yes ... over and over again reset the mission several times.
Did not skip any objectives.
Will I move this to a 'bug' thread? no (It has been my experience with mmo's the bug thread is rarely even looked at.)
[a bunch of folks will quickly disagree, but my experience says otherwise]
Main discussion thread gets monitored daily, bug threads don't.
I just did the mission after beaming down, I had no problems defeating the Medic's. Yet my character is also 65, and they didn't seem to regenerate even that much.
More details on what level your Character is, and if this is the first beam down planet, or the later moon that your seeing this on would be helpful... ...I'd also try dropping the mission, then trying again.
Note: The only strange thing I noticed is that my Character was forced to wear a EV suit during the first part of the mission. This is not normal, and it strangely doesn't require it for Bridge Crew!

I was also just fine while on the Moon. Rarely (sometimes) their is strange things that happen, cause a NPC get's caught or stuck in something (rarely) that sometimes interrupts progression. It can happen in any mission, it's extremely rare and if it does happen, and I can't continue I try to drop it and restart it.

That's because there's currently a bug where the game fails to outfit away teams with EV suits when required.
lvl 7 but here is the rub, I bring the mobs to 0 hp, and I can stack tons on damage on them to keep them at 0 hp ... I am unloading auto fire into a mob (s) that have ZERO hp and they do not die. Yes, I have reset this over and over again.
Added info, I skipped the missions before this, should not matter but there that is.

Not just exiting and trying to restart it, yet actually double click it in your list of missions, then select DROP so you have to Hail and pickup the mission again.
Did drop each time I reset but have not tried a map move. I might also try going back and doing mission one and 2 before it to get at least lvl 10 before trying it again. Not that doing enough damage was ever an issue. I tried just standing there and put my crew on passive to see if they could kill me and allow me to respawn to clear the bug....apparently, being passive still allows boarding party members to heal me ...lol doing nothing- the medic mob could not kill me.
I did a thread about this bug in the bug section about a year ago. I was trying to get the missiles for one of my low-level captains and could not get past the ambush either, it went exactly the way the OP describes. I tried restarting the mission, dropping and re-accepting the mission, etc. and nothing worked.
I tried on and off for about two weeks (and got absolutely no replies on the bug thread during that time either, btw) before finally giving up on the thing and going for a different build option, so letting it sit for a day or two is not the answer either.
Eventually someone in chat said that it was happening to them, but that teaming up with someone seemed to stop the bug from happening, but since I did not need the missiles anymore I never tried it.

Hope that helps

Just wanted to ensure that's what you did.
