Granted, nothing in this tweet references STO directly. But I'm hoping the fact that Kate Mulgrew and Thomas suddenly know each other means something good for STO soon
That would be nice. I wonder how Cryptic would fit her into the game? It wouldn't make sense to me to change the Delta episodes to replace Seven as your contact / guide since Jeri Ryan did a good job with them. I hope it's something new, and not another "aliens judging us" episode like with Burnham.

There are at least 3 options: time travel, hologram(like the new show), or older/STO-era Janeway. I would actually prefer the last option, but any would be better than none

Janeway made admiral by the time of Nemesis, and her assigned area seems to involve the Romulans or just general diplomacy (possibly to give her time to cool down from the Delta quadrant stuff, she was showing signs of long-term stress in VOY) and would be good for giving out assignments more than as a field contact like Seven (though having her as a guest star in an episode or two would be no harder to justify than those with Seven, Tuvok, or others from VOY either).

The quote I always remember from Janeway was what she said about Kirk and Picard, that they were too quick to shoot, but once, just once, she would have liked to have ridden shotgun with them.

She didn't say that about Picard because they're both from basically the same school of Captain. She was speaking more of Kirk and Sulu. The 23rd Century was a bit more wild west than the 24th.

I liked the STO blog where Admiral Janeway asked Seven of Nine to meet with her at the Jupiter Shipyards for a special project. It would be ironic if this project had to do with the U.S.S. Protostar.
Prediction: Quinn is killed/retired and Janeway replaces him. Yes, big wishing, but probable if it's not too costly.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
OK guys read Thomas's twitter bio @thomasthecat is his PERSONAL twitter page and NOTHING TO FO WOTH STO OR CRYPTIC. If Thomas had done it with STO in mind he would of used @Cryptic_ttc.

They most probably have got to lnow each other from STLV
This elusive Mirror Emperor, perhaps? Or, a ginormous Janeway arc...I'd still love to see the novel idea of her being assimilated and becoming a Queen. The whole Kes and Q Jr. bit I never fancied, but Katie being back? Ooh :-)
Since they've admitted that their choice for Emperor isn't firmly locked down yet they could easily edit the new mission to change "him" to "her", and if their first pick declined but they then found out Mulgrew was open to it I'm sure they would jump at the opportunity.

True, however the banner work is stuff he would've done in his spare time, not official work for Cryptic, so it would make sense for her to tweet thanks to his personal Twitter. The question is what got them in contact with each other in the first place, that's where the speculation comes from but it could just as easily have been related to the Janeway class being added to the game rather than her having any official involvement with STO. As with all things only time will tell.
Doubtful the wonderful Kate Mulgrew will be coming to STO but would absolutely love it if she were.
She's done voice work in other games. So she might be open to participating in STO. Maybe if they ask her? The worst she could do is say no.
It's been years, but I vaguely remember her doing a good job along with the rest of the cast in the STV Elite Force game that's now available again from gog.com. I might buy it, but I know the 20 year old graphics (!) will look a bit rough.

Yeah, she did both Elite Force's to my knowledge and Sir Paddy did the second one too.
I remember when the first was released, it was right around the time Jeri joined the show and they had someone else voicing Seven, but then rereleased it not long after, with her in it instead.
I used to love those games and yeah, the animations are ROUGH today, but the cheats were always such fun.
With the right thing and approached the right way...Kate would do it. I think Pads would too, but STO just has to step-up with the offer and especially the story.

These days, I can't imagine Sir Patrick Stewart as anyone else other than a big, hammy, muscular Lich with a gigantic scythe whip (reference to a previous game the developers of Metroid Dread worked on for Konami).

On the other hand, I think it'd be cool if they had Janeway replace that racist tribble T'nae in the Romulan Mystery arc.

She also did VO for Star Trek Legacy (Scott Bakula, William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, and Avery Brooks all did VO for that game as well).
