Soon as they get rid of that whole 'experimental weapon that can only fire directly aft' deal, sure. Otherwise, nah. The fused tail gun is still an awful idea.
They could change it to 360 dual cannons, as an experimental weapon, and there you go..

That wasn't an "experimental weapon", it's basically a very nice finisher for strafing runs that makes the Tempest a 4-4 weapon rig rather than a 4-3 like most other T5 Escort vessels.
It's also default rapid fire 1 that seems to pick off chasing destructible munitions more quickly any other weapon because it packs a decent punch and isn't distracted by having an overly wide arc.
But yes to echo the other calls here, the Tempest does need a T6 version.
since this will be in the C-Store, as it should be, i'll definitely be picking this up. I really like the sleekness of the T6

As I have a Romulan with a Torpedo Bomber using Subspatial Warheads... I am interested. Not only does that trait look juicy for some Hyper Plasma + Subspatial Warheads fun... that console might also be fun.
I'm just wondering if it would be too obscure a reference to acquire an Appalachia-class ship and name her USS Taggerdy...
Paladin?
No... if you're thinking Wing Commander... that was just Taggert, and as far as I know James "Paladin" Taggert has no connection with Appalachia. I kinda feel like it might be more of a reference to someone with a connection to that region, maybe one of the guys from a show about hunting cryptids.

I completely forgot about a Wing Commander reference, so thank you, but no, if they referenced Appalachia and spelled it "Taggerdy", then it's probably the late Paladin Taggerdy from Fallout 76.

Never played Fallout 76.
When you emerge from the Vault in Fallout 76, you find that there had been survivors in Appalachia - until ten years ago. Most of the original main storyline consisted of finding audiologs and robots to tell you parts of what had happened. The last segment involves learning about the fate of the Appalachian chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel, led by Paladin Elizabeth Taggerdy (formerly LCOL Elizabeth Taggerdy of the Army Ranger unit Taggerdy's Thunder - they'd been hiding, playing OPFOR in a military exercise near Spruce TRIBBLE, when the War happened, and later were recruited into the Brotherhood via satellite-radio contact with Capt. Roger Maxson in California),
Spoiler, but not surprising: Taggerdy, along with some of her best soldiers, gave her life in a brave, bold attempt to end the plague of the Scorchbeasts rising from under Cranberry Bog. Sadly, they failed, resulting in a rising of Scorchbeasts that destroyed all remaining human life in West Virginia outside the Vault. (Recently, a group of refugees from the ruins of Pittsburgh have set up camp in the old forest ranger facility on Spruce TRIBBLE, naming their settlement "Foundation", while a faction of the old Diehard Raiders who split from the main group shortly before the Scorchbeast attack and fled to "up north" has returned and taken up residence in the crashed remains of a space station in the northern reaches of the Toxic Valley, calling their place "the Crater". So, y'know, the area's not so lifeless as it was for the first year of the game.)
Love the ship, The Steamrunner was one of my first Buys in the steam store for this game. Which makes me a tad disappointed that I will need to spend more money. Perhaps ill save my lifetime stipend to get the T6. Its aggravating though that ships need a T5-U to T5-X which in essence makes them a T6 but cant be upgraded further to a T6-X and thus they cycle of cash continues. hmm I should only RP instead LOL

I have the Steamrunner.. was released.. 10, 11 years ago??, if you wait, you can buy it with the t6 tokens from the event, if you havent finish it yet. I see no problem in buying the T6 version after all those years, just buy zen on sales as i do, it's the best way, also, t6 tokens are available on the exchange, they are expensive thou.

Pretty sure the Steamrunner is available in the C-Store still. What happened with the Steam pack was that people were exploiting the refund system to get the Steam pack for free, since it was considered DLC, and pretty much just gave you a code. That means it doesn't rack up play time, which is the limiter on refunds via Steam. I think after 2 hours of play time, you can't refund. So what they were doing was buying the Steam pack, claiming it in game so that they have it attached to their account, then refunding the steam purchase.
Pretty big loophole that got shut down real fast. At some point after that, Cryptic made a new pack in the C-Store itself rather than through a 3rd Party to enable players to get the Steamrunner. Right now I think the only thing exclusive to the old Steam pack is the title "Steam Powered".
I wasn't petty enough to pull that stupidity. I got mine legit. As for the T6... I won't bother with the Ships of the Line bundle as... I've already got 2/3 of them. So I'll go for the cheeper single ship option.

Same here, and I have plenty T6 ship tokens to get it.
I just have to have the patience until it's available to get with that token.
Usual conundrum for me. Am not interested in the ship, but the Trait appeals and the console would be useful too.
Which is annoying as it, in sense, proves that a good trait/consoles sells a ship as much as the ship itself and make their claims about how certain ships wouldn't sell a bit baseless.
They could have bundled it with some new warbird design, or Jem'hadar ship, or KDF ship, or all 3, and if they looked good I might have gotten one of those. I don't care for yet another federation escort just for some good trait and possibly console, both of which could get nerfed or fall out of meta at any point as with anything Cryptic. I am happy however they made this finally for those fans of it.

They could change it to 360 dual cannons, as an experimental weapon, and there you go..
I would be all over that!
And I'd love to see a good T6 update to the Tempest.

It looks good, the console seems fun and both that and the trait could be an interesting addition to my multi-energy torp character.
I might actually get this.

I was thinking I'd call mine USS Deliverance...
