Playing through Peril over Pahvo earlier I realised the music sounded very familiar and reminded me of one of the icy areas of Neverwinter, although having not played that for over a year I can't remember exactly where. Am I imagining this, or is it actually from the Neverwinter soundtrack? Are there any other pieces of music in both games?
I have a couple of characters in Neverwinter too, but haven't done much with them in about two or three years either. I still do CO now and then but the combat is almost painfully clunky compared to more modern games.
I haven't noticed any music crossover but then again I don't pay that much attention to it either unless it is something like the incredibly annoying Blake's 7 music the PIC Mars event had (yes, I know it is a classical piece that was around far longer than that old TV show, just like the William Tell Overture came before the Lone Ranger but the two are indelibly linked now), I just let it do its mood setting work.
I don't play Neverwinter, that said it could be a reuse or it could a similar piece due having the same composer (I suspect Cryptic has only a handful composers they use to make music for their games so there's bound to be similarities).
I suppose it depends on how the rights are in this case, it could be that Wizards of the Coast own all D&D related music (and thus would own Neverwinter music) or Cryptic owns the music for the game and can use it as they please, honestly only who for sure are probably the devs responsible for music in Cryptic games.
Yea I uninstalled it as well, I mean I was never a big crafter, yet sometimes from time to time I would. Yet even though I had several Artisans with -25% to -75% gold cost, a still lost a lot in just that one month. And sadly never ever reconsidered playing all my beloved Elves since then...
*sigh*
Even with the new Class the Bard coming, despite having 1 of every class, starting a new Character just has no meaning or value, given the Mod 16 changes introduced.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.

Resource re-use isn't uncommon with Cryptic. Hell, they used the zombie puke sound from City of Heroes in Magic: Legends.. that was some serious nostalgia.

The music from the Mars event is Mars from the Planet's suite by Gustav Holst. The Blake's 7 theme is an original piece of music. But now that you mention it, they are quite similar.
Yea, mod 16 left a nasty taste in my mouth. My best character became a wimp.
Also, when I thought I figured the new changed out, they made new changes.....ugh.
Yeah, me too. It was bad when they rearranged all the skill trees so all my builds broke but what really turned me off the game was when they removed life steal. Suddenly my characters were getting flattened by trash mobs they used to handle with ease.

I wasn't talking about the main theme from Blake's 7, I was talking about the usual battle scene music in the show which was also Mars from The Planets suite, though now that you mention it the main theme does sound similar since they were all done in the same version of the synthwave style.
