I'd prefer that we get back to the original topic of this thread: do you believe that Cryptic will be reasonable enough to unban my account since I repaid my $50 after the initial refund?
Here is the issue that I can see is this is on ARC if they are going to authorize steam or anybody to do zen purchases they need to make sure they all have the same return/charge-back policy and well defined. They can not have 3 different return policies where the consumer is left in the dark.
from the info you posted.... yeah your account was banned due to the refund. steam does not get any bonuses... why buy thru steam? when they have zen sales... it clearly states that steam does NOT have bonuses... buy direct... dont want to use arc... dont need to. buy off their website. it's what I do. STO and steam had a falling out ages ago... cant buy any packs or bundles for STO on their steam game page.

Show me where it says you HAVE TO buy through Arc.

Because he wanted to buy them through Steam. It's not a crime and it's certainly not forbidden, so let's not turn this around into a "blame the victim" case, uhm?

Make enough of a ruckus and they're probably gonna reverse their decision, seeing as we have another case that's still hot, so to speak.

I think its possible. You will have better luck on Tuesday, once MLK day is over, and people get back to the office.

That's excellent news. Glad support took the time to look into the situtation and act on a 'case by case' basis.
Whatever the methodology used, it's clear that you were not attempting any type of fraud and should not have remained banned. I'm happy to hear that they fixed it.
So never been banned in 10+ years of playing this game so all I gotta do is use real money and I can get banned. Now I finally know how to fit in with the rest of the game now.

? huh? He got banned for the reversal of charge. That reversal was sorted out and he got reinstated. it is not uncommon for mmo games to ban an account for a refund for a micro transaction. all sales are final, so be sure you really want it before you pull the trigger.
