Greetings Captains!
We will be having a maintenance tomorrow, 1/12 at 7AM Pacific for 2.5 hours on PC and 2 hours on Console. (What time is this for me?)

    "Resolved an issue that was causing equipment in the Imperial Rift Space Set and the Bajor Defense Space Set to have higher Upgrade costs than intended at some Mark levels." --- Wow, I wonder how long this had been going-on, how many players affected, & how many upgrades have been snookered by this one? Impressed that Cryptic coughed-up to admitting it.

    That 3D printing by Gameprint is different than that Eaglemoss, correct? That's a lengthy list of additions nonetheless.

    "Updated Memorial plaque to include Thomas Lister, Jr." --- Nice to see Cryptic's acknowledgment.

    "Resolved an issue that caused Advanced and Elite Lost Souls pets to underperform relative to the normal ones." --- Very nice to see, hopefully not at the expense of "nerfing" the regular Lost Souls.

    "The Phase Shift universal console has been updated to be equippable on any Fek'Ihri Starship." --- What would be more impressive is Cryptic creating & applying a (2) & (3) console set bonus for the (3) newest Fek'Ihri ships. If it helps you do remember Cryptic that Fed players pilot those ships too? & they're just not Klingon.

    Please note that the utc time on the launcher is out by one hour. Reads 14.00 to 16.30 when it should read 15.00 to 17.30

    Server end? As they can't never realistically guarantee that you won't have a crash at your end as they can't control your PC or console.

    Why are they doing a maintenence on a Tuesday instead of their usual Thursday ones?

    I see they have changed the Galactic Red Alert blog to specify PC only, when it was originally published for "all platforms".

    Still nothing about broken transformation mechanics on ships like the Titan.

    Still nothing about Temporal Ambassador on Console which has been broken for 6 months, at least.

    The game will not start up on XBOX after this patch! Looks like it's the entire platform from Facebook, Reddit and Twitter!

    The game isn't launching on my Xbox, since the update patch. Any info on a timeline for a fix?

    Anyone else not able to launch the game after the update today?

    I'm not able to launch the game. It doesn't even get to the "loading" screen before it kicks me back to my dashboard.

    Is this a console-wide issue? If so, is someone addressing this?

    We're aware of the issues affecting Xbox logins this morning. The issue is being looked into and we hope to have a fix very soon. We'll post updates to this thread.

    game is running super slow since updated. takes 10 seconds for every click to register. super laggy

    Yes it is console-wide, and yes they are aware of it, and no, they haven't got an ETA yet. :lol:

    Larger content-related additions tend to come on a Tuesday. Although that content is mainly coming to consoles, it's likely a bit of a time-saver for them to include PC maintenance today too.

    Can we please get an update on where you guys are at with fixing this issue on XBox? The game has been down 6+ hours, and there appears to be no sign or updates that we're going to be able to play the new content today. It's a bit frustrating.

    Since it seems to be an Xbox only issue, I'm wondering if Microsoft dropped the ball with the "title update" they normally have to do for any actual updates to the game? Wouldn't be the first time they've done this. If that's what they're waiting for, we may not get access to the game until tomorrow. Seen it happen on a couple other games and it always takes Microsoft forever to even admit it's they're wrong and begin to look into to fixing it.

    I can't understand how its possible that this game is already 7+ hours not working. Please implent a changemgmt system which includes a fallback plan for such rollouts to gurantee the functionality within minutes ! I just deleted 21 gb from the xbox and reinstalled it. Guess what ? its not working ...

    Things don't happen at a click of the fingers. Things take time, and they have to take in to account access by Microsoft too. I'm sure the guys at Cryptic never predicted this to happen. Some times things happen beyond their control. It's called life.

    Things don't happen at a click of the fingers. Things take time, and they have to take in to account access by Microsoft too. I'm sure the guys at Cryptic never predicted this to happen. Some times things happen beyond their control. It's called life.

    Also, before anyone chimes in to say "If they tested this, we wouldnt be having issues" I can tell you one thing from my almost two decades of experience working in ICT.

    You can test something multiple times and the system/patch/update is completely fine. But sometimes when you push it live unexplainable variables, differences in testing & live systems and just updates to files can cause massive issues.

    Also, as much as possible. In a game like this, it is basically highly improbable to impossible to have a test environment that is basically a 100% carbon copy of a live service.

    Stop making excuses for them. This isn't about the code or development - it's about the deployment - which failed spectacularly. And in case you missed it, the update worked fine on PS4. My current job is global software delivery for an international company with over 100000 employees. If I deployed an application update that breaks that software for 50% of the company, I'd be looking for a new job. I'm not saying that anyone should be fired over this, but it is extremely incompetent and unprofessional to have a delivery that's been planned and scheduled months in advance break the game on XBox and then have to roll back the update. Couching that in the "TRIBBLE happens" category isn't acceptable by any standard.

    And I still can't play the game currently. Nor have they offered any revised estimate on when we might expect to see this update on XBox that so many of us have been patiently waiting for. It's ridiculous and unacceptable.
